We spent 6 nights in this beautiful apartment with another couple. Located within easy walking (25 minutes max) of the Uffizi, Academie, Central Market shopping, Point Vecchio, San Croce and the Pitti Palace. A complete grocery and coffee shop are just minutes away. Bathrooms are newly remodeled and generous size. Primary bedroom includes a king bed, Second bedroom uses a fold out, but we had no complaints from the other couple. Just a couple of cons- there is a washer, but no dryer. If you are doing laundry, it is nearly impossible to dry clothes in the apartment. There is no outside drying available. It was difficult to get daily towels dry, so we got used to drying quickly with wet towels. There is an electric teapot for hot water, but there is no coffee pot or even a simple “pour over” device for cup at a time brewing. We loved going to the local coffee shop, but would be great to be able get that first cup before heading out. Also, given the layout, there is not good air circulation and the unit can get musty with wet laundry hanging everywhere. With just a couple of simple tweaks this unit could go from B to A+.
The only usable rooms were one bedroom, the kitchen and dining area and bathrooms. The other 2 rooms were unusable due to something that made my eyes water, become congested and sneeze. I would never stay in this property again.
The apartment was even lovelier than in the photos and had everything I needed for a perfect stay of 10 days. The location was wonderful for both having peace and quiet and being within walking distance of just about anything a tourist would want to see. I loved going for walks along the river and to the Bardini gardens behind. The kitchen was fully equipped so it was easy to get good food from the markets or supermarket and cook meals. There are many cafes and restaurants close by for those who prefer not to cook. The Uffizi Gallery was virtually just across the road and the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens a very short walk away. My only suggestion to make it perfect would be that it would be welcoming to provide a little coffee and essentials like oil and vinegar and to make sure there are dishwashing tablets and washing machine liquid stocked for those who arrive tired after long trips. But, apart from that small suggestion, I loved every day there and would gladly recommend it to my friends who come to Florence often. Thank you.
Very nice apartment, the location is excellent, the cleanliness of the apartment too. The only thing that was not to our liking is that there is no basic supplement in the kitchen, that is, we had to buy cooking oil, pepper, salt, there were none of the basic spices in the kitchen. In all our stays in other locations, at least the basics for cooking exist.
Absolutely as stated
I could have stayed a month or more in this nice apartment. Great location with easy access to Florence sites.
Our check in went quite smoothly despite a bit of a wait to be checked in. The apartment beautiful and is very tastefully decorated and very clean. One minor gripe is a lack of welcome pack. A couple of teabags/coffee and bottled water would have been nice. Most apartments we’ve stayed at have this as a minimum.
