Stayed Oct 16, 2023We are Australians in Italy for the first time. We enjoyed our week in Perugia. No car so we walked along the country lane to catch a local bus into Centro, and walked uphill to town on several occasions. The artisanal pasticceria which Guiseppe will tell you about was worth multiple visits. Free Illy espresso with each purchase. Guiseppe was quick to respond to our messages and helpful with suggestions. His Gold Card was useful! Too cold for a swim, sadly, as the pool looked very inviting. Grazie.

Stayed Oct 21, 2022Giuseppe, the host at Villa Nuba, welcomed us warmly to his gorgeous home that felt like being in the countryside despite being just minutes from central Perugia. The immaculate, one-bedroom suite had a spa-like bathroom (steam shower/jacuzzi), old-world and cozy decor in the living room and bedroom. The king-size bed was very comfortable--a real plus. Giuseppe had a welcome basket waiting for us--pasta, sauce, wine--that made it easy to pull together our first meal in the modern kitchen. It was a bit cool to swim int the pool, but we did enjoy drinks there and on our private patio. Highly recommend this gem of Umbria.

Stayed Jul 27, 2021What a perfect vacation in the hart of Italy. We have been traveling in many countries and we have been visiting many great spots and apartments over the years. Villa Nuba is absolutely one of the apartments we have to visit again. Our host Giuseppe welcomed us the first day and introduced us to the most amazing and well equipped apartment ever seen. Everything was clean and cozy, even the fridge was prepared with a start package including local vine, water, breakfast products and other good stuff to get a great start on our vacation. The location is simply amazing, and in walking distance to the old town where you find great restaurants and other cozy places. Gioseppe was extremely helpful during our stay and advised is the best restaurants and places we never would have found by ourselves. The pool area is clean and well equipped and we had our oven sun beds during our stay. If you want to find the “real Italy” then you have to go to Umbria, and Villa Nuba is absolutely the perfect location for a great vacation. We really look forward to visit Villa Nuba once again!

Stayed Sep 10, 2019On arrival we were greeted by Giuseppe who was truly delightful. He took the trouble to give us a brief tour of Perugia by car pointing out the best local amenities and places of interest which was incredibly helpful. The apartment was well appointed with furnishings, crockery, tea towels, bath towels and flannels. Pool towels are not generally provided although if you forget to take your own as we did you can hire a towel for a fee. It should be noted the apartment is not on ground level but is accessible up a flight of steps. Giuseppe provided a welcome pack which was great so there was no need to rush straight out to the supermarket for supplies. A nice touch. Thank you Giuseppe. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Nuba. The pool area is well tended with plenty of loungers and chairs available. The region is full of beautiful places to visit steeped in Etruscan and Roman history. Villa Nubia is a great base from which to explore the Umbrian countryside, food and wine. Perugia itself is a walkable distance from the villa mostly up hill but that makes the walk home even more enjoyable! Definitely worth a visit. This was a great place to stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We initially booked a three month stay at Villa Nuba and were looking forward to our first Christmas in Perugia. We were not disappointed and had such a wonderful time that we extended our stay into the new year. Giuseppe and his family could not have extended a warmer welcome or made us feel more at home. They made sure that we had all of the information we needed to make the most of being on holiday in this amazing region of Italy - whilst living as locals - the perfect combination! Our appartment was comfortable and very well equipped and we especially enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and sitting in front of the log fire on winter evenings.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I stayed in the Bonfigli self catering apartment at the Charming Villa Nuba and it was as beautiful as the photo’s on the website. Giuseppe and Elga were fantastic hosts, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Perugia town is about a 20 minute uphill walk away and Giuseppe will give you a tour of the town to get your bearings, help you go shopping for food if you need it and collect you from the airport if you don’t have a car. In fact, this was one of the additional plus points, you don’t need a car to get around, everything is a lovely walk away and public transport is affordable and reliable. Giuseppe will give you maps and lots of tips on what to see as well. He even managed to hunt down recommendations for vegetarian restaurants for me and I can happily recommend L’Erba Voglio and a La Taverna (vegetarian friendly and amazing) Not only is Perugia a great stepping off point to explore Umbria but Perugia itself is worth a visit, stunningly perched atop a hill and looking out towards Assisi.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969All the many positive reviews are true! From the very start of the booking process the communication was excellent. I had many email questions which were responded to promptly. We then had to change the date due to a family wedding and again the owner was very considerate and flexible. Bonfigli is very cozy with many finishing touches that you would never see in normal holiday accommodation. We had the pool to ourselves most days and the Umbria view is stunning. Guiseppe helped me arrange a surprise birthday treat for my husband (the wine tour). He was discreetly in the background if we needed help (ordered us a taxi, ordered pizza delivery and telephoned our next accommodation in Assisi to ask for a room with a view). Villa Nuba is a very special place - our memories will last a lifetime! I wish I lived there! Enjoy!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a fantastic week at Villa Nuba in the del Bonfigli and were very sad to leave - a week wasn't long enough ! We went to Umbria last year and visited Orvieto, Todi and Spoleto. This holiday we spent 3 days visiting Perugia and 3 days visiting Gubbio, Assisi & Spello and Trevi,Montefalco and Bevagna. All these places are beautiful and only between 20- 40 minutes away from Villa Nuba - so the perfect location ! We also liked being able to walk into town in the evenings and one day took the bus which are extremely frequent. Although August nowhere was busy and there are so many amazing places to see and eat and drink . We loved the apartment - fantastic spa and jacuzzi which we used and the pool area was amazing. What set this rental above others is the friendliness of the owner Giuseppe, who we loved ! He is passionate about Villa Nuba and wants to share that with his guests . We appreciated him taking us in his car to show us Perugia and all the other help he gave us. We can't wait to go back!
