Pets - To protect the beauty of this property we have a strict no pets allowed policy.

Access - When you arrive at the apartment there is free designated parking located behind the apartment on Michigan Street or you can feel free to use City Parking located on Superior Street. The primary building entrance is located on Michigan Street, enter the code to enter the building. This is a second story apartment so once you enter there will be stairs required to access your apartment. Urban Woods Retreat is the apartment on the left side. Enter the code followed by the check mark to enter. The outside stairs may be difficult to navigate in rain and snow so please proceed with caution.

Parking - When you arrive, there is one space in the back of the building available. If extra parking is needed please utilize Superior street parking or parking across the street in the parking ramp.

Transit - While having a car is recommended for convenience, no worries if you don't have one. Duluth has got you covered with plenty of public transportation options to explore the area. You can hop on the Duluth Transit, or take advantage of ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft. And if you prefer traditional taxis, there are many other taxi services available too. So, whether you're cruising in your own car or using one of these convenient options, getting around won't be a problem at all. Enjoy your adventures in Duluth!

Our awesome guest service team is here to assist you from 8am to 9pm. If you have any questions or need anything, just give us a ring. You'll find our contact information in your booking confirmation. We'll primarily communicate through the booking platform and/or email, so keep an eye out for important check-in info. You'll receive all the details at 3pm on the day of your arrival. Check-in time is at 4pm. Check-out is 10am. Feel free to reach out if you need anything else. We're here to make your stay amazing!

VACATION RENTAL HOUSE RULES

1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS a) All Guests (and any Visitors) must comply with all House Rules and any other instructions from the Property Manager during their stay; and b) Guests must notify the Property Manager of any disputes or complaints from neighbors as soon as reasonably practicable.

2. NOISE AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD a) This Vacation Rental is suitable for children of all ages! Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times, as well as any disturbance caused to other residents in the Neighborhood; b) Guests and Visitors must keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb the occupants of neighboring properties – especially during nighttime hours (10pm – 8am), and upon arrival and departure; c) Excessive noise is prohibited at all times and may result in termination of the vacation rental agreement, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges which may be deducted from the Security Deposit;

3. VISITORS a) Guests are allowed a maximum of 4 visitors at any time during their stay. b) Guests are responsible for ensuring maximum visitor numbers are not exceeded; and that visitors are complicit with these House Rules.

4. FUNCTIONS a) Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited at the Vacation Rental; and b) Any small gathering must comply with other rules set regarding Noise, the Neighborhood and Visitor numbers.

5. PARKING a) Guests and any visitors are to comply with parking regulations and other requirements set out by the property manger and show consideration to neighbors and other vehicles; please use the designated parking.

6. SECURITY a) Any time Guests leave the Vacation Rental, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed/locked to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage. b) Guests must switch off the lights, air conditioning, fans, electronics such as televisions when not in use to promote energy saving.

7. SMOKING a) Smoking is not permitted inside the Vacation Rental; and b) Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly (in large trash cans located outside property or off property all together) and not thrown on property grounds. Failure to do so will result in a deduction from the security deposit.

8. PETS a) Pets are not permitted at the Vacation Rental

9. DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES a) All Damages and Breakages must be reported to the Property Manager as soon as reasonably practicable. Failure to report them will likely result in a penalty deduction from the security deposit. And; b) To avoid Damages and Breakages, no furniture is to be moved from one room to another without prior agreement.

10. CHECK OUT ARRANGEMENTS a) Please be sure to lock all doors and leave both sets of keys back in the lockbox. Check out is at 10am - if you need a later checkout please contact me as soon as possible to make arrangements.

11. EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS: a) In the event of an emergency relating to the Vacation Rental, your emergency contact is: Heirloom Vacation Rentals b) In the event of all other emergencies please call 911.

12. COMPLIANCE a) Breach of any of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy as per the Rental Agreement. b) The Owner and Manager reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the Vacation Rental, any Guests or Visitors who refuse to follow these House Rules or who cause a nuisance to neighbors or other residents of the community.

    Pros: conveniently located, offered late check out, reasonably priced, fairly responsive host. Cons: didn’t supply any cleaning supplies - not even a broom (an issue with a full kitchen when you have an extended stay), uncomfortable bed & couch, the floors were dirty - my infant kept finding things on the floor including a piece of glass and his feet and knees were black on day one from crawling around. Very bright outside the bedroom at night because there’s no curtains and also loud because there’s a bar and a hospital on the same street. Thankfully, we sleep with a sound machine and eye masks so this wasn’t really an issue for us, but I’m sure could be an issue for someone else. Picture is the bedroom window at night. Overall, we would stay here again. My husband and I stayed here with our nine month for 10 days. I don’t think I would stay here for this long again though maybe just a long weekend.

    Back stairs were a bit tricky - didn’t know we were on the second floor. Apartment smelled a bit musty - better when we opened the windows. There was also construction right across the street that started at 0600 . Location was great and apartment was comfortable.

    Loved staying at this property in terms of the size and comfort of this vrbo! The reason for the lower rating in terms of location was on the last day our vehicle was broken into in the assigned parking spots behind the building. There were no cameras in the back of the building so there was not much we could do besides have the police file a report. This unfortunate event cut our vacation short by a day.

    My parents live in Duluth so we were traveling with our infant to visit them. We had plenty of space and were close by to my parents and several restaurants to enjoy. Check in was very easy and appreciated the parking spot in the back.

    It was a very nice place. I didn't see anywhere that there were so many steps up to the place? It was fine for us but for older people it may not be.

    Our only complaint about the space is the windows. They allowed all noise from the street and noise from the construction accross the street to come into the space. Everything else was great. I recommend they replace tge windows.

    Urban woods is a cute simple place to stay. Cleaning fee seems a bit steep for the size of the place.
