Stayed Jun 17, 2025Wonderful experience and great location. Aside from the heat wave we experienced in June and no AC, the place was clean and comfortable. Best pastries in Paris next door and easy access to metro stops. Pierre is a very good host.

Stayed May 18, 2025Pierre is a wonderful host and I enjoyed my time staying in this apartment in the Marais, so perfectly located, and with many other conveniences. It is spacious and comfortable, with natural light, and has a cozy atmosphere. Near to delicious restaurants, cafes, and bakeries, it is a dream for the foodie.

Stayed Aug 4, 2018This is a cute flat in a great location. It was clean (the cleaning lady was actually there when we arrived). It is close to the metro stops, park, and plenty of cafes and convenient stores for your daily wine runs. We were there during a record heat wave and we were happy to have the AC (although it was still quite warm in the lofts, it stayed cold on the first floor). There are beautiful large windows that we would open at night while we drank wine and ate baguettes and cheese. We had the quintessential Parisian moment when one night a street musician strolled down the street playing La Vie en Rose. Pierre was very accommodating and helpful. My only criticisms would be that the wifi is a little spotty and that be aware that the shower is a handheld which was a little annoying (perhaps that is standard in France).

Stayed Jun 9, 2018After Spending 6 weeks in Pierre’s apartment we did not want to come home! The apartment is in an excellent location (less than 1 block from Place des Vosges) and blocks from the bustling Bastille area. It is charming, well-equipped and very safe. It is also very large (not only for Paris but for any European city). We very much enjoyed its proximity to metro, the Chemin Vert station for line 8 around the corner takes you to anywhere in the city. Pierre was also very very helpful with suggestions and anything we needed in apartment. The stay at this location made our stay memorable, we hope to stay at this location again in the future. Recommendations for area: L’escurial on the opposite side of square is a must for breakfast and L’ambroisie is excellent for dinner.

Stayed Jun 5, 2018It was so fun and we had a great time! It was the rainy season , which didn’t slow us down, but rather than turn on air conditioning, we chose to open the beautiful windows; if you don’t live in the city , the street noise can be overwhelming. The wonderful apartment is surrounded by some really great restaurants which made dining out fun. We walked to Notre Dame and the Louvre and Ste. Chapelle. Wish we had more time!

Stayed May 21, 2018Pierre was a great host. Responded to inquiries quickly. The apartment was lovely. As pictured in VRBO. Each loft had a bed and there was a pullout couch. The only non super positive thing I could say is that the beds were just okay. As we had our two kids with us that were on their early twenties one had to use the pullout couch. Excellent restaurants close by. The l’Ange 20 is right across the street and has a great ambience and terrific food. Unless you eat early or late you may need a reservation. Closed Monday’s and Tuesday’s. The Bonne doer was just down the block and is a good spot if you need a quick dinner and the food was very good. We were about a 20 minute walk to Notre Dame. A 30 min walk to the Louvre. And an hour and 15 min walk up the Eiffel Tower. Metro close by and uber a good prion as well. There was a nice little kitchen that we didn’t use much. And a handy washer / dryer that was small but did the trick for a couple of small loads. A terrific spot that I highly recommend.

Stayed May 13, 2018Our family of 6 traveled to Paris in May 2018, and loved our stay in this Paris apartment. It was close to the yellow line on the Open Tour bus, which was great! We used this bus to get around Paris every day, and see the sights! The only negative was that the tub was really difficult to shower in. My husband couldn't stand up in the shower... making it awkward. Despite this, we really enjoyed our stay

Stayed Mar 8, 2018We stayed for a month in Pierre's apartment. Highly recommend if someone is looking to stay at a great location and hosted by a great, understanding, helping host who would go out if his way to help. For example, after staying at Pierre's apartment, we were to leave Paris for two weeks on an Italian and Spanish tour. We did not want to carry all the luggage and Pierre happliy agreed to store them for us for 2 weeks. The apartment is well connected to Metro as well as bus. Bus number 69 (recommended by Rick Steves) had a stop at less than 200 meters from Pierre's place. If you want to stay close night life, bingo. The Bastille night life with 24/7 restaurants and pubs are 4-5 minutes walk from Pierre's apartment. Place des Vosage is across the street and Gare de Lyon is 3 stops away. Again, we highly recommend and would love to stay again here.

Stayed Feb 27, 2018Overview: This apartment in the Marais district is in a great location near shops, restaurants, and two Metro stations, but is not very well maintained. First - the great parts. Just a few steps to the Place des Vosges, with two little grocery stores across the street, and cute shops, several museums, restaurants and cafes nearby, this place is in a great, safe location. It's also close to two Metro stations on different lines so it's easy to get to lots of different parts of the city. Easy walk (20 minutes) to Notre Dame and Ile St Louis, Ile de la Cite. And as advertised, the apartment is in an old, historic building with huge tall ceilings and cool exposed beams. Plenty of space and at least one of the beds was very comfortable. The other was moderately comfortable. The towel heater in the bathroom was fantastic. Now - the not-so-great parts. Even for an old city apartment (ie, I wasn't expecting a pristine, shiny, new place) this place was not very well maintained. The refrigerator did not work at all and when I asked the landlord he told me, It's not really my fridge... look on the back for a button to see if you have to push something. So, no milk in the fridge for coffee or saving any leftovers for us. Several of the lights did not work and some of the fixtures didn't even have bulbs or were dangling by wires. The bathroom shower ceiling was very low and mildewed (probably from the handheld shower hitting it all the time) which was kind of icky for my tall son. Also, we were there in February during a cold spell and the heaters in the apartment simply were not sufficient to keep the place warm. For the first two days we had to sit right in front of the heater to stay warm - so we didn't want to hang out there at all. Fortunately, the bedcovers were cozy enough to keep us warm while sleeping. RECAP: Nice enough in warm months if you aren't looking for a pristine condition spot. Good location for safety and mobility.
