Great location for all that Charleston has to offer. We stayed in unit A and it worked out pretty good for all 5 of us. When you arrive there is a cute courtyard area for lounging and dining. There are entry steps. Once inside, a little living room and kitchen. It's tight quarters so if you like room to spread out this isnโt the place for you. The bedroom on the first floor is quite nice with it's own full bath. If you need the living room pull out couch know that the only other bathroom is upstairs. A bit tricky at night considering the tight stairs. Upstairs is the quircky cute room with vaulted ceilings. Be careful not to hit your head!! The second bathroom is right as you get upstairs separate from 2nd upstairs bedroom. Like I said, at night....using the bathroom was tricky. It was a great little place but was very close quarters for all of us (5 people) who stayed there. Loved the decor and the beds were comfortable. Pull out couch not so much but we all know how that goes!! I would stay here again but only max 4 people.
The cottage was clean, functional and a great location. We could walk to restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries.
My daughter and granddaughter met me at the house for a girlsโ weekend. We had a wonderful time. The house was just what we knew it would be. This was the second time Iโd booked the house! Close to Charleston and Sullivanโs Island (my favorite beach) and Pitt Street Park (for wonderful walks along the marsh and water). And close to Pageโs Okra Grill, my favorite place to eat when Iโm in the area. A great experience, start to finish.
We absolutely loved the location of the rental. So many restaurant choices and close enough to The Citadel campus. Beds were super comfy! A few things to improve: upstairs shower head was squirting everywhere, downstairs bath tub needs a shower bar as tub is very slippery, need games and/or playing cards, need to rearrange stepping stones to entrance gate (very difficult to use while raining or ground is wet), need a larger trash can in kitchen, outside furniture needs cushions and maybe a small light over sink or lights under the cabinets for when you need just a little light and the downstairs bedroom door squeaks when AC shuts off. This scared me several times!
Great location and nicely appointed apartment! Loved the courtyard and the front porch for morning coffee.
It was perfect for 2 adults and 2 small kids! We had the best trip. It was the perfect location for us. A quick drive to downtown one way and the beach the other.
We were happy to be in the Old Village. The area is beautiful. Our property was very quaint; a little misrepresented from the photos. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the TV selections. Was not fond of the eating arrangements but in all honestly, we enjoyed all of the restaurants. We enjoyed having coffee and cocktails on the porch. One suggestion, I would put a small grab bar in the tub, something decorative. All in all we enjoyed our stay and loved Mt Pleasant.
The location was just right, not far from the bridge over Chem Creek (and the โmainlandโ). And it was just far enough off the main road to give that great feeling of getting away from it allโฆ.without actually having to be in the middle of nowhere. Such a treat and just the right size!
We stayed here for 9 nights and really made ourselves at home. Location was so close to everything. Bed was comfortable and we had all we needed.
Enjoyed our visit quite a bit. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The one item I would point out is that the second floor has very sloped ceilings which would be tough for a taller person.
We had the best week here! It is the PERFECT location for walking to Shem Creek, a quick drive to (our favorite beach!) Sullivanโs island and downtown Charleston. We loved just walking through the neighborhood every morning and watching the sunset two blocks down at the water or at Pitt St Bridge. Some favorite neighborhood spots: Post House Inn, Vintage Coffee and Pizza (delicious pizza). The house was small but so quaint and QUIET!! And comfortable. It was very clean!! For it being so hot outside and an older home we were so pleasantly surprised at how cool the house kept! Loved the private outdoor patio with hanging lights, and enjoyed sitting on the covered porch part during a rain storm! Great closet space and appreciate having the washer/dryer for midweek laundry and to be able to go home without so much laundry to do at the wend of the week! Thank you so much for a great stay!!
This property is located in a quiet neighborhood. Easy access to the surrounding area. Quick car ride to the beach and Charleston area. Many walkable shops and restaurants. The house was very clean and easy to manage. The private outdoor space was plus! Upstairs is a little awkward due to the sloped ceiling. Futons are more geared to children I believe, kind of small for an adult. Overall we had an enjoyable time.
Loved the area. Rented side by side units for family stay. Units small but fine or a week's stay.
Location was great, very clean and cozy.
