Unique with a retro vibe, this third floor unit boasts an open kitchen and living space.

This is a dog friendly, third floor, two bedroom unit and comes equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, dining table which can seat six, a large living room with skylights and a pullout sofa bed. One bedroom has two twin beds, the other a queen bed. The full size bathroom is equipped with a washer and dryer.

Located on the third floor, there is access to a shared charming brick patio.

Located in the more locally populated Broadway neighborhood, this pet friendly building is just a seven minute walk to Newport’s waterfront, although the neighborhood itself is home to many restaurants and coffee shops.


Windward Suites properties are all keyless, and instead use keypad smart locks for all of the doors for both the buildings and units. All guests will receive an email the morning of their arrival with the instructions, codes to the doors and Wifi. Super easy!

Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please be respectful of these times unless you have contacted us, as we have a cleaning crew who need the time to do a thorough job before and after all of our guests.

Parking is on street parking. There are no meters and no residential parking sticker requirements which makes it easy to find spots.



Ultra-walkable downtown Newport RI—no car needed! Broadway hotspots, restaurants, shops, wharfs, and attractions are 2-5 minutes on foot. Street parking (parking lot is possible on request). Uber/Lyft/taxis everywhere; bike rentals close for easy rides. RIPTA buses nearby for bigger outings; trolley tours for chill exploring. Nearest Amtrak in Kingston, RI (~20 min drive); T.F. Green Airport (PVD) ~30-40 min. You're primed for beaches, mansions, events—total freedom to enjoy!

Dr. Marcus is a three unit building consisting of two bedroom apartment style units, with one unit located per floor. Recently “freshened up,” each space is bright and clean with open concept floor plans; each comes equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, newly installed mini splits and access to a shared outdoor brick patio space.

    Great spot for a few days in Newport! The home is quiet, clean, and comfortable. It is walkable to dining and shopping.there is no close by grocery, so if you don't have a car, you’ll have to plan to dine out or get a ride to a grocery store. We loved the location and the space,but this property requires the ability to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, so those with knee, foot,or cardio challenges should take this in to consideration. Property Mgr is highly responsive. Recommended!

    The apartment was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Had no trouble parking and it was an easy walk to the wharf and other restaurants.

    The unit is beautiful and it's not as close to town as I thought. By car it was a breeze. The one thing I'd have to kind of have to mention, the hot water is a little weird...takes a bit to tweak it to run hot. And that water pressure is just poor. Aside from that, beautiful unit, everything you can ask for and I'd be back.

    Great location! Fun neighborhood!Walkable to everything.Unit was very clean and well stocked.Beds were comfortable. Shower was amazing! Plenty of hot water with really good pressure.Owner was easy to reach.Would definitely recommend.

    The location of the house is situated across a street where you see junkies and drug addicts hang around. We were chased down to the door at 9 pm night after dinner by one. The apartment door does not have a chain lock or peephole, so if you get a knock on the door at night, you would not know who it is until you open it. The constant presence of police cars driving around is both assuring yet concerning (you can be your own judge). I emailed the host about these concerns, did not get a reply. Internally, the House was in good condition, aside from a few nuances, i.e. bathroom sink leaking, dryer handle broken, can’t use dryer, no chain door lock or peephole for security (details above), location was walkable (15 mins) to the wharf. The house has only street parking, no dedicated parking space.

    this was perfect for our girls weekend, there were 4 of us and we were comfortable and able to walk everywhere we wanted to go from this house. we really enjoyed our stay here. the place was clean and tidy, well furnished, and everything was comfy. great location close to things but not too noisy.

    My fiancé and I had an amazing time in Newport with our dog. We stayed at this property and it was the perfect place for us. It is a great location about 12 minute walk to Bowen’s Wharf where there are a bunch of shops and restaurants. It is also only about a ten minute drive to the beach. The apartment was very clean and bright. The check in process was seamless and communication with the property owners was easy as well. Everything about the apartment was as displayed online. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a lovely vacation spot in Newport with a great location!

    We liked the location, and it was easy to find parking close by. Within walking distance to just about every where we wanted to go except beaches. The stairs are steep and could be tough for older people or someone with a disability. And the low ceilings are tough for taller people. It’s a little worn and the furniture wasn’t very comfortable.

    Four women over 60 enjoyed your apartment , especially location. The stairs were challenging for some of us but, we managed. It was great to walk to dining and shopping experiences thank you for a great stay

    The property is very clean. Comfortable beds. The only problem is a lack of hot water. It was not possible to shower. Ran the water for a long time. It became warm, then immediately turned ice cold. Never got warm enough to shower.

    We had a group of 5 and stayed the weekend. We had issues with the heat not working which was fixed quickly but then the hot water only lasted for 2-3 people to shower before it went ice cold. The property manager was very responsive and fixed the issue both days but if a booking says it can hold 5 people then there should be enough hot water for everyone to shower. Futon in living room was like sleeping on the floor. Suggest to the owner to get a better futon
