The unit was locate in walking distance from downtown. However, both sets of stairs were challenging to get up and down with bags. Some of the doors stuck. Full kitchen, but only 3 spoons and very little soap to do dishes with. Coffee maker, but no coffee. Outside deck, table and chairs were very dirty and I had to sweep and clean off before using. Master bedroom is close to the street and you hear cars all night long. The TVs are very confusing with too many direction(one set of directions were wrong). Place could be really nice, just needs an update. This really is more of a 3-star property, not luxurious at all.
Called this place home for two months. Enjoyed every minute of my stay.
The stay was great and the place was nice and clean and i love the 1900s architecture
Had a great time in Deland and the lodging was perfect for our group.
This was a great place to stay. The top floor is very beautiful, and large. Lovely two bedrooms and it was great to have 2 baths. There was nothing lacking. It was nice to have a deck right off the kitchen with patio table & chairs. The location was convenient as we had business in Orange City, so very close to that. Very nice neighborhood. We walked the area. Very close to downtown DeLand.
The next morning as the house cleaner was knocking, we were packing up to leave. I fell walking down the handicap ramp (with no handrails) there was no first aid kit, the cleaner called the owner, other owners called him. I never even heard a are you ok? call from the owner. It's not Victorian its old!!!
This rental had everything we needed for our short week stay! Loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 bath and full kitchen with dishes and other conveniences including paper products, soaps and shampoos and small cooler. Location close to downtown, we walked several times. Only complaint is noise level of traffic on New York Avenue so close to master bedroom kept light sleeper awake.
We got to the property after a long flight and rent-a-car woes. I followed the directions of how to get to the unit and opened the door to a room full of people. We were all shocked. The owner was on site and gave us other accommodations that were more roomier and easier to access. The rooms were clean and the kitchen had anything we needed for cooking. the only things were the couches in the main unit had a odor that was like maybe someone had been smoking. A little Fabric Febreze cured that. The other was we were told we could use the laundry room in the basement. It was very scary down there and needs attention. We used the common laundry which was fine. Overall it was a nice stay, thank you.
I had a great time, everyone around the rental was very nice. The rental was very down home comfortable. The Owner Bill was very accommodating, also. Overall Great experience.
Loved it.
Very good -would go again!!!
