Top Floor in Funchal Center near Farmers Market Free Wifi private parking

Much more spacious than we imagined and perfect location

This could be a lovely flat but in need of attention. Communication - I tried to contact the owner via VRBO before the holiday started and did not get a reply, after a week I ended up contacting him through another rival online rental site (he responded in under 2hrs). Local contacted was also very poor at responding. No dishwasher (even though advertised as having a dishwasher), no curtain pole in one bedroom - you can see where it’s fallen down. Wires hanging down from ceiling in one bedroom and kitchen. Outdoor canopy doesn’t work - told the local contact but no response. No outside cushions for lounger so you can use them. Outdoor gazebo coverings no longer there - looks like they’ve been removed. Lovely balcony up the spiral stairs but no seating (although pictures show seats). Several windows don’t lock , so you have to close and lock the shutters to secure the property. Very central location - noisy (but you’d expect that), but a lot of drunks hanging around and evidence of drugs. This is our third time to Funchal and definitely the worst location. We’ve rented many flats/houses around the world and this was one of the worst, other than the potential it’s hard to say anything poditive.

The apartment was in a perfect location. Across from the market and one block from the Old Town. The apartment was exactly as advertised and met all our expectations. It as clean, modern and the kitchen had everything needed including a washing machine! Luis was very attentive to any questions we had. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and would go back ourselves.

Luis was there to meet us and show us round the apartment, everything was as described, clean and very well equipped. Lovely decor and views from the balcony. They beds were a little hard but that was our fault as we were used to memory foam mattress. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we return.

It would be impossible to find an apartment with a better location for enjoying Funchal than this one. Right by the Mercado do Lavradores, and walkable to everywhere. The really good A Bica restaurant just below, but tons of restaurants etc in the immediate area to choose from. We loved the spaciousness of the apartment and especially the huge sunny outdoor patio with views over the mountains and cable car. A great value rental.

Great location. Property as described but one or two shortcomings. Oven plus one other appliance caused power outage. Dangerous ironing lead which needs replacing. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the apartment is a little tired arising from the lack of general maintenance.

The Apartment is very spacious and very well equipped. We particularly liked that there are patio doors from the living room and two double bedrooms straight onto the terrace. Between the terrace and the small upper terrace the apartment gets sun all day. Luis was very helpful in booking our transfers from and to the airport.

The location of the property was ideal; very convenient for the centre of Funchal but not too noisy. The apartment was very spacious, with the bonus of a great terrace with plenty of space for everyone to relax, plus the small upper terrace which offered views down towards the harbour.
