Toogooloowa on Davey 5

We were very impressed with our apartment. Clean, well stocked with breakie provision and spotless bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the views of mount Wellington were superb. Very friendly host. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money.

Toogooloowa Davey 5 was an older building with great views to Mt Wellington over the red brick homes and churches. There were chooks in the garden, roses blooming and a light dusting of snow on Mt Wellington.

lovely space and amenities, peaceful after busy days. Be aware that there are significant steps, windows hard to open and some mould

Ignore the rather tatty exterior. Bathroom had brand new fittings, kitchen had all new appliances , benches & cupboards. Bed was large & comfy. There are 23 metal stairs from ground up to our unit

Upstairs apartment- Gorgeous old house been upgraded for well appointed accomodations - parking, laundry acccess, well equiped kitchen, lovely scenery, quiet Not perfect but excellent value for money. Would have liked a sheet of paper to show nearest shops, petrol bus etc

We had a great stay at Johns property. Terrific spot for exploring Hobart and its surrounds. Bed was super comfy and looked out directly onto Mount Wellington, glorious to wake up to. The kitchenette enabled us to make some lunch, and was will equipped. We would happily return our next visit. Thank you John

Accommodation was grim.... looks as though it hasn't been cleaned since time began. Cobwebs, mould in the bathroom, plaster peeling off some walls. Grimy everywhere. I very much regret that I didn't check the reviews before I booked.

Jason was pleasant but issues were evident. The paint was cracked and pealing, webs and insects were present in the hall at the entry door, detritis was present in a vanity drawer in the bathroom and a used vinyl glove was in the pots/pans drawer. The first night there was no TV signal; Jason quickly responded and explained why the connection at the wall was broken but said that it would be fixed in a few days but it was never fixed. The shower drain backed up and Jason fixed that but inadvertently replaced a part incorrectly so we had a shower overflow the next morning.

It's a lovely place to stay. Quiet, with great views to Kunanyi. It was a very cold Christmas but the apartment was warm and cosy.

This was a good stayz with just what we needed. We were out most of the day, but enjoying coming back to a good bed and a good shower.

This property is in a good area and is walking distance to great cafes and shops in south Hobart. Small unit with one bedroom and lounge/kitchen area. Bedding was fantastic. Huge garden to look out on plus views to Mt Wellington. We have booked again.

John was a wonderful host. Was available by phone or message for anything needed. Very responsive. The apartment had everything you need. Clean new kitchen. The bathroom was clean with a great shower and the bed was very comfortable. The property is a short walk to town. We will definitely be back.

Small and cozy place for two young adults to come back home to. Walking distance to shops, the city and other activity locations. Very helpful that the place had a stove, oven and other kitchen appliances, not having to always rely on take away food or going out; could make our own meals! As well as a provided washing and drying machine for washing clothes before taking off home. Overall, highly recommend the place for anyone wanting a place to stay! :) 10/10
