Stayed Jan 7, 2025We stayed here for 2 nights and I am sad to say that we were uncomfortable the entire time. This is my first time using Vrbo, but I have used similar apps before and I have never had such an issue with cleanliness. At first I noticed some things like a hair in the fridge, the rugs were all dirty, there were bits of dirt or something of the sort on the comforter, and there were a lot of cobwebs. Considering the property is in the middle of the woods I ignored the cobwebs and dirty rugs, but later in the night we noticed more issues; another hair under the comforter, another one in the bathtub, bits of food on the dishes, stains we could not get off of the knives—and worst of all—the top part of the comforter smelled like UNWASHED ARMPITS. There also looked to be eyeliner on 3 out of 4 of the pillows. It seemed like none of the bedding had actually been washed. Thankfully we had brought an extra blanket since it is winter, so we removed the comforter and slept with our own blanket. We also slept with the towels on top of the pillows since the towels were the one thing that smelled clean. I called the next morning with no response, so I left a voicemail with my name, my number, and explained the situation and asked if they could call us back. We never received that call back. This property specifically had no reviews but their other properties had great reviews so we were super excited to stay here. Instead, it was hard to sleep due to how dirty it was.
