Immerse yourself in Asheville's vibrant culture from this historic haven! Nestled within a grand 1907 home, our two-bedroom apartment offers a unique blend of privacy and city access. Perched on a hill, it enjoys peaceful isolation from surrounding houses, creating a tranquil escape while remaining just steps away from downtown's bustling heart. The apartment's centerpiece is a charming and spacious studio, perfect for unwinding after exploring Asheville's endless possibilities. FREE activities including Biltmore, Rock Wall, Zipline, Whitewater Rafting, Trampoline Park, Snow Tubing and Axe Throwing.

Nestled amongst the trees, aptly named the Tree House, this charming home offers both nature and city vibes. Stroll through the canopy-covered streets to reach the Civic Center for a show in 10 minutes, or soak up the bustling downtown scene within a 12-15 minute walk. Craving groceries Three havens of fresh produce and gourmet finds - Trader Joe's, Harris Teeter, and Greenlife - await just a 5-minute stroll away. Step across Broadway to discover the historic Montford neighborhood, boasting majestic restored homes and a tranquil park. For a dose of cultural exploration, the Visitor's Center is conveniently close. Feeling adventurous Meander down the picturesque Reed Creek Greenway, leading you to the Asheville Botanical Gardens and the enchanting Mullen Park.

Inside the Tree House, natural light streams through the large window in the studio, creating a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. One guest called it the perfect yoga room, and the open floor plan offers ample space to unwind. Gaze out the front bedroom window onto the vibrant streets of downtown Asheville. This well-sized room boasts hardwood floors, a charming (non-functional) fireplace adding a touch of character, and ample storage with a dresser and closet. Sink into the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, as one guest described the plush queen-size mattress.

The middle bedroom offers a cozy retreat, featuring the same comfortable bed and ample storage. Its window opens onto a peaceful view of the side yard, porch, and Fulton Street. Unwind in the spacious bathroom, bathed in natural light from a large window and two fixtures. Relax in the deep tub with a tiled shower, perfect for rejuvenating soaks.

This is an old house, and it's located on a fairly busy street. There is no off-street parking, so please be careful and aware of traffic. There are a lot of steps to navigate, with a set of twelve to get to the front walkway. Then another five up to the porch and seventeen more after you enter the front. There is no stove thanks to City of Asheville rules. These rules also prohibit whole house rentals, and this is a homestay which means we live downstairs. We have dogs and you may hear them bark sometimes. This is not the place to stay if you are looking for anything shiny and new. It's a grand old house with some older fixtures. Most of our guests find it charming, but it is not for everyone so please consider this before you rent. We want our guests to be happy and have a great experience, so if you have questions or concerns please feel free to email or call.

We are so excited to host your visit! The Pete Key Properties team welcomes you and is here to help create a memorable experience. Enjoy the free activities described above, and you can also book helicopter tours, e-bikes, wellness tours and hiking and more through our Activity Concierge. Please don t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need anything at all. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Nice place to stay, walkable to town (without the need to go under the underpass). Neighborhood was pretty quiet as well.

Great property and location in Asheville! Walk to great breakfast, grocery stores and cute cocktail bar. Short Uber to entertainment. Wonderful two bedroom, tree top apartment. Nice front porch for morning coffee or evening wind down.

We had the entire 2nd floor of the house—and it did feel very much like being up in the trees. Cute place-roomy and easy walk to are restaurant, grocery store and downtown Asheville. Hosts were wonderful too —enjoyed talking with them. Elizabeth and

Very welcoming. Great details and reminders. Fabulous location - 5-min walk to so many places, including my son’s house in Montford. Clean, roomy, cozy - loved the old wood and big windows. Will be back!

I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this place, but i absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave. It was very clean, very nice. It’s a lot of stairs though, to get in, so for older people it might be hard. Also, maybe some bottled waters in the fridge for arrival since coming and going is not easy due to the stairs.

Check-in couldn't have been easier, there was a key pad at the door that we used all week, no need to mess with a key. The apartment was centrally located, had be been in better shape and inclined (we were 2 70yr ladies) we could have walked everywhere. Felt very safe and the neighborhood was very quiet. Three groceries stories within a block of the apartment. The water temp and pressure in the shower was AMAZING, could have stayed in the shower all day. Would definitely stay at E Chestnut again if ever in Ashville!!!!!!!!!

The Tree House was a perfect spot for our quick mountain getaway. The neighborhood, blooming with so much spring color, reminded us of our beloved Virginia Highlands in ATL with easy walk to all the wonderful restaurants, breweries and shops downtown with the ease of a quick 2 block walk for Chick-fil-a biscuits and 3 grocery options for breakfast/snacks to prep in the cute kitchen. Apartment and house with so much old, quirky charm - even the creaks spoke of its history as you walked the floors (maybe a deterrent to some but part of what we love about old houses). Pups gave a warm, barky greeting upon arrival but were quite the rest of our stay. Pete was an excellent communicator and though we didn't need it, was obviously available should anything arise. Would absolutely stay here again or recommend to others visiting this beautiful little city.

Nice house but not clean. Hair in the tub, dishes in the dishwasher, stain on the sheets, dust everywhere, and there were several bugs. But the house was interesting, unique, comfortable and pretty. Certainly not a “treehouse” though.

Unfortunately Hurricane Helene absolutely devastated the area and we were not able to stay at Pete’s property. Pete did graciously offer us a refund along with a free stay. We are thinking of you and your area! Asheville is the best place in the world

We stayed at the Treehouse for a 4 day trip to visit Asheville. It was an excellent base of operations for visiting the city. Being able to walk into town from the property was a huge bonus. The bedrooms were comfortable and the rest of the place worked well for us. We had zero problems with on street parking…there was always a space directly across from the property. And, on short notice, we were able to take advantage of a free ticket to Biltmore! I would definitely stay at the Treehouse again.
