Stayed Jun 23, 2024The apartment had a very central location close to all amenities. There is a cafe in the front of the building and a small courtyard at the back which our apartment backed onto. It was clean and quiet. My only complaint was that I booked the apartment because dogs were allowed but once we had arrived we were asked to pay 25€ a night in cash for cleaning. We were not told about this charge when we booked and the apartment was only cleaned once after we left. It should be made clear when you book if there are any extra charges.

Stayed Mar 4, 2024This booking was a nightmare from the moment we showed up in Kinsale. We were supposed to be able to check in at 4pm; the host was to send us the lock-box info and instructions earlier that day. We hadn't received anything by 4:30, so we tried to contact him by text, phone call, WhatsApp, and via Vrbo app. No response. My husband finally saw a woman inside the closed coffee shop on the same property and knocked on the door. When she answered, he explained the situation and she said she would call him as he was her landlord too. She called and told him that we were there trying to check in, and could he speak to us. He hung up on her. Meanwhile I was on chat with Vrbo, who said they couldn't really help unless I called, which I had to pay for by the minute as I don't have an international phone plan. But at that point, I was desperate so I did. Vrbo said they would call him. Within 5 minutes of being put on hold, he sent my husband a WhatsApp with the info to get into the room, and then finally sent me an email with the same info. That is the last we heard from him. I tried to explain to Vrbo that he was ignoring us, but they said since we confirmed his WhatsApp message, there was nothing they could do. We finally get inside and it smelled terrible. The musty smell was overpowering. We looked around and found black mold all around one of the windows. There was no way we could stay in that room. We ended up having to book a different hotel, with no refund yet. Do NOT book here.
