The Lowry.. A space of elegance and luxury with industrial accents, created with your comfort in mind. Solid wooden floors, lovely artwork, down and feather duvets and pillows , Egyptian cotton towels, 800 tc sheets, Villeroy and Boch. Sea views from the rear of the apartment and modern bathrooms and kitchen. Newly renovated, features solid exposed stone and gorgeous furnishings and fittings. A stunning space to enjoy your time while relaxing in Oban. Complimentary toiletries/essentials.
<br>The space

There are two bedrooms both with beautiful Kingsize beds,(USA Queens) side tables and a chest of drawers. A place to hang clothes and a luggage rack. We provide linen and towels and the basics to help improve your stay. There is also a hairdryer in each room and a full length mirror. The first bedroom faces the town, The second bedroom has a sea view in the distance. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an integrated fridge/freezer, cooker, fan, microwave, kettle and toaster, washing machine and a Nespresso Coffee machine.
Entertainment is provided by a smart TV with Netflix. There is a small selection of books and games.
There are also two Sonos speakers should you wish to listen to your own music.
There is an ironing board, iron and clothes horse as well as a vacuum cleaner.
You will be renting the entire apartment and have full access to all rooms and amenities. The heating is electric panel heaters set for your comfort. There is information on the town for you and everything you need to find your way around including a map of Oban.

Other things to note

We will provide you with Tea, Coffee, Milk, Sugar, Bread and Butter and Eggs to get you started for your first mornings breakfast. Also liquid hand wash and hand moisturiser, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toilet rolls.
We ask you to be considerate of our neighbours by keeping noise levels down between 11pm and 8am. Shoes are to be removed in the apartment at all times due to our beautiful wooden floors. .

    Enjoyed our stay in Oban. The apartment was conveniently located in town making it easy to walk within the town. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms functional, kitchen very nice, living room comfortable. Nice to have a dishwasher and washing machine. Highly recommend as a place to stay in Oban.

    Superb location — easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Parking for free in the back. Amazing access to hiking, lochs and the Scottish highlands. The one drawback is that the kitchen is not very well stocked for cooking. A few more pots and pans and Tupperware would be useful. Every day use glasses are needed (not fine crystal). And instructions for the cooker would have helped. Otherwise a brilliant place. So glad we found it.

    Mary was very diligent about contacting us about the location and arrival. We had a difficult time finding it and there was Mary at the door waiting for us!! The apartment is stunning and I want to move in.

    The Lowry is superbly located and clearly Mary, the host, has put thought into the decor. However, we found some of the online information misleading. It is described as having either 2 bathrooms or 1.5. There are no bathrooms. There is a shower room with a washhand basin and a separate WC with a vanity basin. In this room there was no extractor fan and the only very high window was sealed closed. We would advise that this is made clear online to avoid disappointment. There are many DO’s and DON’T signs around the property. We found these very offputting. The most intrusive to our enjoyment was that we were instructed not to open the blinds. which made opening the windows very difficult. We were instructed not to put certain glasses in the dishwasher. To avoid using these glasses we bought some cheap Tesco glasses for our stay. We would advise Mary to replace her crystal glasses with ones that are dishwasher proof for guests’ convenience We agree wholly with a previous review regarding the constant light from the bright security light on the landing outside the flat. This was not conducive to a good night sleep to the occupants of bedroom 2. The other flats in the building appear to have blinds in situ on this window. We also think the security light might be broken as it surely shouldn’t be on constantly? Perhaps some of the signs could be removed. This isn’t an economy 3star accommodation. I’m sure, Mary, that your guests can be trusted to care for your property.

    Mary was a lovely host and very easy to communicate with. The 1st floor apartment had everything you need for a stay in Oban. Lovely rooms, well equipped kitchen and stylish furnishings. Just a 5 min walk into Oban where there are lots of eating options. Parking is available on the street for a small charge or at the rear of the property free of charge. Mary was kind enough to leave a tea, coffee, wine, chocolates, bread and eggs plus various other kitchen / dining items - all very welcoming and helpful. I would be happy to recommend a stay here to anyone.

    This property was very well furnished with hand made furniture and glass blown lights, expensive crystal glasses and leather sofas. However, it was not practical in many ways. The Venetian blinds in the bedrooms did not keep out the light particularly from the street lights and further light came from the communal light on the landing. I do not need a total blackout but expect reasonable darkness. This is the first house we have rented with no TV and only Netflix The owner herself was most welcoming, but 12 signs around the flat were not! Wash glasses by hand, take off makeup before bed, don’t pull up blinds, don’t hang up heavy clothes…. This is a rental flat in quite an ordinary block of flats which has been lovingly furnished, but I could not say we had a relaxing week as we had little sleep.

    Lovely property. Good central location. Facilities exactly as described on website. Owner great to deal with. Would easily recommend this accommodation.
