Visited the area in winter — The room was inviting, very clean and tidy; beds comfortable, and spacious for the purpose of relaxing. Host was a great communicator, and it was an easy check-in and out. In addition, it was very close to the downtown; I felt we could have walked if we had chosen to make the adventure.

This is a top floor of the home. Please update the listing to include stairs.. We had a 3 years old and 2 stair wells where not gated off. We moved furniture to block the chance of him falling down them. other than the above….. GREAT HOME, GREAT Location, VERY clean, bathroom was amazing, great parking, weather was perfect didn’t need heat or A/C, owner gave us a nice wave! Thank you for a memorable stay!

Pros: Beautiful home and neighborhood. The owner responded to every question quickly. The unit was very nice. King bed in one bedroom, queen in the other. Beautiful remodeled bathroom. Living room looks out on the street. There's a nice deck outside of the bathroom. The neighborhood is lovely, walkable if it's warm out! There's a microwave and smaller fridge. Table with 4 chairs. Keurig coffeemaker with pods. Plasticware, plates, and cups provided. There was snow while we were there. The porch, steps, and sidewalk weren't shoveled or salted. My friend slipped and fell on the steps. Be careful if it's winter time❄️❄️❄️

Very nice older home. Was on a quiet street with minimal traffic. The bathroom was an A ! The two bedrooms and sitting area were clean and beds were comfortable. Due to the weather being so great we were able to open the windows, however, the sills definitely need cleaning out. Anyway, about a 5 minute walk to town. If you can’t do or don’t like stairs, this may not be the place for you. I would stay here again.

Excellent location to downtown Frankenmuth for easy walking and leaving the car at the house yet on a very quiet and tranquil residential street. There is a private balcony on the second floor which made a very nice place to have breakfast or wind down in the evening with a nice string of white lights strung up that you can flip on for very attractive lighting. The bedroom has its own air conditioner as well as a cieling fan which was very nice and the temperature was always comfortable during our late July stay. The Owner, Chris is a great host. At 9:49 p.m. I made a request thru VRBO messaging to the owner to leave a couple additional items for our breakfast the next day and he responded immediately and had the items waiting for us when we returned later that night. Quite simply a great location and a very comfortable home. Enjoy!

My husband and I stayed here with our two children (5 yo and 1 yo). It is the upstairs of a historical home. The lower level is the host’s residence. The place was well kept and the host was very easy going. The layout is a bit awkward as you have to go through either bedroom to get to the bathroom and kitchenette. I would recommend the place to maybe two couples or friends. I would not recommend the place to those with toddlers. There are two staircases, both of which are pretty dangerous for toddlers. There was one baby gate in the closet which was nice for the front stairs, but the back stairs gave me anxiety anytime my toddler wanted to follow me. With that being said, the beds are very comfortable and the home is in a great location to explore Frankenmuth.

This is a quaint spot very close to the main downtown area of Frankenmuth. The house and street have a lot of history and the preservation and renovations are beautiful. I have a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids). We were able to stay in the house comfortably. It was a better option for us instead of the waterpark hotel. The beds are very comfortable, the living area was spacious for all of us to hang out in and talk or watch tv, the bathroom was excellent, and the kitchenette had everything you would need (similar to hotel amenities). We had a few questions upon arrival and the owner was very responsive, kind, and pleasant as we met him in person. The “apartment” is the second floor of their house, and if they lived there, we would’ve never known because we didn’t hear anything from downstairs. This would be a great option for a weekend stay to wander around Frankenmuth or for a family with day passes to the water park. We were very satisfied!

Owner was very responsive to our needs. Very helpful! Such a nice area; friendly neighborhood. First time using Vrbo and he assisted us. Upper floor was just what 2 ladies needed. Rental uses front door, street parking in front. It was a comfortable stay. Loved the large bathroom w/great towels, upper deck, front living area, kitchenette for a quick bite, 2 bedrooms (1Q/1K) were spacious. Had refrig, micro, toaster, mugs, Keurig w/pods. Sat on front porch for a treat! Drove 2 blocks to Main St. & parked in ample parking area for strolls/eating/shopping.

Perfect Weekend Getaway in FrankenmuthWe had a fantastic weekend getaway with friends at this charming craftsman-style home in Frankenmuth, MI. The location was ideal—just a short walk to downtown shopping and dining, which made exploring the area super convenient. The house itself was cozy, clean, and well-furnished, with a quaint charm that made us feel right at home. It’s a great fit for two or three close friends or a couple looking for a relaxing stay. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which added to the overall positive experience. One small suggestion: it would’ve been nice to have body wash provided, as there was shampoo and conditioner but no body wash. That said, it wasn’t a major issue and didn’t take away from our enjoyment.Overall, the property served our needs perfectly, and I’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Frankenmuth.

Great location but maintenance issues exist. Toe guards on the steps to house were loose and one came off during our stay. There were loose boards in the kitchen area. If we had stepped on these the boards would have broken. The exhaust fan in the bathroom made a terrible noise and had dead bugs visible when the light was turned on.

Great location. Great value. It's an upstairs unit above a permanent residence. Within walking distance of everything. Hoping the porch was a little cleaner and put together. You don't normally need AC but it's loud if you're trying to sleep. Bathroom was very nice but there's no mirror above the sink.

Very nice space. It was a little chilly but there were space heaters in the rooms that made a big difference. I absolutely would bring blankets for curling up on the couch. Minuscule kitchenette with a dorm fridge so no freezer and no sink - but it is next to the bathroom so you can get water from there. Stated we had to park off street overnight, back by the garage, the hen walk back to the front to get in- no big deal except the ice on the driveway. We opted to get off the driveway and walk through the snow to the front porch - chilly but less risk of falling. Our 2nd night parking by the garage was unavailable.

We had a relaxing stay at this charming historic house in Frankenmuth! The property was clean, thoughtfully maintained, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The house perfectly blends historic charm with modern comforts, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. One of the best features is its prime location—most of Frankenmuth's iconic attractions, restaurants, and shops are just a short walk away. It was so convenient to stroll to Zehnder's, the Bavarian Inn, and the charming downtown boutiques without worrying about parking.Whether you're sipping coffee on the cozy porch or exploring the nearby sights, this property feels like a true home away from home. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for an authentic Frankenmuth experience.

We had a great stay! The home was very accommodating for our family of 4 (2 kids under 3 years old). The house is very close to downtown and would have been walkable if it wasn’t too cold and snowy. We got a few inches of snow over night and the owner shoveled the snow on the steps, walkway, and driveway before we were awake! The home is in a safe neighborhood. We will stay here again if we visit Frankenmuth in the future!

If you ever wanted to experience living in an early 1900's home this is for you. With a lot of original things the home was built with - windows, doors, door knobs, etc. it was quite a treat. On the downside the floors and doors were a little loud and the windows were frozen on the inside. All in all, I really liked it. It was great being to walk downtown.

The location is in a great spot. Not too far to walk to town and not in a crowded area. Everything was very good, but not exceptional. It did not feel very private. From the open stairs in the kitchenette one can easily hear the people downstairs. I wouldn’t consider staying for longer than a weekend.

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights and enjoyed every second of it! The house is obviously old but has been well maintained and upgraded where needed. We were a little skeptical about sleeping apartment style above the family who owns it, but we could barely ever hear them and there was a ton of privacy. Super close to downtown so we were able to walk everywhere and enjoy the fall weather! Thank you for having us, we’d definitely come back to stay again :)
