The Space:
Our location is perfect for visiting Southern Utah's National Parks. We are situated right between Zion(20 minutes away) and Bryce (50 minutes away). The Grand Canyon is and Hour and a half south of us as well. Other favorites like Cedar Breaks, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, and Lake Powell are all close as well. Our Pool an Hot Tubs are located 1/4 mile down the road at our second location.
Visiting Zion has been at the top of our list for a long time and staying here was all part of realizing that dream perfectly. Major pluses: -cleanliness, from our week stay I know the place can get dirty easily with trips back and forth to dusty parks, when we checked in there was no dirt, and the design choices showcase that -midway between Bryce and Zion with close access to lake Powell -Laundry, with all the dust in the parks there was no rewearing of clothes without washing them. We could not have made it without the washer and dryer. -East Zion Experiences (EZE)! We took advantage of the discount and did the 4 hour canyoneering and UTV ride our first day in town. It was incredible, a great introduction to southern Utah. Things I wish I’d thought of: -Cooking in high altitude: -the rules are different and I should have known them -Cooking in small spaces - the exhaust fan worked well, but still the smell of everything we cooked got into everything we wore -Hiking all day is tiring -I should have planned low effort meals
This was our 8th stay along our 18 day road trip and the midpoint. We were tired and out of clean clothes. Our stay felt a little like home in that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed including that washer and dryer. Very nice stay! Will seek it out again if ever back in the area.
What a wonderful placed in Orderville. So close to Zion and byway 12. Tiny House #3 is a great place to unwind from a long week on the road or a great spot to get your trip started. Everything is very clean, washer/dryer are new and everything was perfect. I recommend any of the units at this facility.
Anyone visiting the Zion or Bryce Canyon National Parks must stay at one of these tiny houses that is centrally located! Everything you need except food is all there. Owner had great recommendations for shopping, food and entertainment. You will not be disappointed!!
This s House #3 served our family of 4 well. While the ladder to the loft might be restrictive for a 2nd couple -- our 2 teenage boys loved having their own area that wasn't easy for mom and dad to get to! The owner made the surroundings in the yard very lovely to look at and it is in a good location right between Zion and Bryce!
Overall the property was neat and tidy. The kitchen and bathroom was modern. The only drawback we saw was that the loft was too hot. My kids didn’t want to go as the portable unit on the loft was making too much of noise and it was so hot
You will not regret booking this for your vacation! The house and property were absolutely adorable and perfect for our family of 4. Great location to Zion (East entrance) and Bryce Canyon. The bed in the main bedroom was even more comfortable than my bed at home and the sheets were the softest I have slept on. The house was very well appointed with kitchen supplies and laundry. We wouldn't hesitate booking again if we are in the area.
If you enjoying camping. Read no further. This place is for you. If you typically stay in hotels or other vacation homes, this may be worth the read. This option had many pluses, but it wasn't a 10. We are a family of 5, while the location could accommodate 5, it was a tough fit. The best rule of thumb is to be indoors only to sleep. When we were there for our downtime, after a hiking activity, I tried to spend my time on the patio, or in the lawn. That was definitely in the pro column. Family game time indoors was not ideal, that too worked best outdoors. Which was great because they had a picnic table in the backyard (also a firepit and bench), multiple entries in the pro column for these amenities! The backyard (green grass) really was a wonderful attribute and one that a traveler does not typically have available (pro column). The location is well placed between Zion & Bryce (pro), but there is not much else to offer. (con) While we had planned to prepare the majority of our meals at the tiny house, during our 3 day stay we did hope for a dinner out and a breakfast out. FYI: Orderville is a dry town and the breakfast options are limited. We ended up going to Hatch for breakfast. The wi-fi was mediocre (at least with 5 of us on it), no mobile data, no cell phone service (a simple text did not go out for 3 days). Two days without these technology advances is do-able for me, but by day #3, it is difficult. Especially when I use my phone for directions, dining options, grocery, and checking in with work, etc. A large con was the fact that the 2 beds upstairs are air mattresses (I apparently missed this detail in the amenities when I booked) and the portable a/c unit upstairs is too loud to run during the night. So it is really hot (and miserable) through the night. My younger two sons took one for the team by sleeping up there. We did not know about the sauna like temperatures until the last day. They were good sports and found a way to manage the heat. :-( While the tiny house experience was fun to try and fun to talk about (the trendy hype, I leave out the sauna stories), I would not book again for our family of 5.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Escape #3. We are a family of 4 (with girls age 10 & 13) and had plenty of room. The kids loved their very own loft space and there was ample room for all of us to spread out after long days on the trail. We made good use of the kitchen and gave the Keurig a workout for the week. (The complementary K-cups were a nice touch after experiencing the $8 in-room coffees in Las Vegas). Micah was great from the very start. He touched base a few weeks before our trip and gave us several good tips to get the most out of our visits to Zion and Bryce Canyon. He also took us on a private canyoneering tour that was the highlight of the trip. I especially loved the Can-Am ride but my girls couldn’t stop talking about the rappelling and beauty of the slot canyons. It is about a 25-minute drive to the East Entrance of Zion. You then have another 20-minute ride through the park, but we really didn’t mind this at all. It’s a very scenic drive and we saw Mule Deer and/or Big Horn Sheep almost every day. This was an amazing family adventure and we totally recommend Micah and his Escape Tiny House Village without reservation.
Great little house. Nice with a washer and dryer. Cute patio and fireplace. The upper floor is neat but does require climbing a steep latter and the kitchen is pretty basic. It's about 45 mins from Zion Canyon and 65 mins from Bryce. We enjoyed out stay.
