The Barn @ Sevier River Ranch & Cattle Company is a private studio style apartment located on a quiet 280 acre cattle ranch in Hatch, between Bryce Canyon (25 mins) and Zion National Park (50 mins).

The air conditioned and heated Barn is newly decorated with ranching antiques and consist of a main room with a king bed and a twin bed, a kitchenette with sink, microwave, refrigerator and Nespresso style automatic espresso and coffee maker (no stove or cooking utensils) and a privatebathroom with bathtub/shower combination, toilet and sink. It sleeps 3 people.

High speed Internet service (free wifi) and DirecTV satellite TV service are available.

Two new cabins (Farriers Quarters and The Tack Room) that sleep 4 each and have full kitchens have been added to the same building - motel style. Two river view cabins are located on the ranch about 100 feet away: the Ranch Hands Bunkhouse and the Wranglers Quarters (each sleeps 2 in one California king bed), available for rent via separate listings. Should you need even more space for your group, you may consider renting the main Ranch House which sleeps 6 and is available via separate listing.

You will enjoy a good night rest in eery silence. If you're from the big city, it will take some getting used to!

The property is equipped with state-of-the-art electronic locks so that guests can check themselves in at any time, and late check-in is not a problem. Guests can roam freely on the ranch as well as fish (with a Utah fishing license, that can be purchased online) and swim in the Sevier River.

We are always available to answer any questions or give you tips for daytrips or restaurants. We speak fluent French, German, Spanish and English. Do not hesitate to reach out with any question, prior or during your trip.

Whether you are looking to explore the natural wonders of the area (the Barn is located between 2 of the most visited National Parks in the country) or whether you're an animal lover (there are horses and cattle on the property from Jume through December, many deer roam the property, and we have the biggest animal shelter in the US is 45 minutes away), the Barn has it all.

Location

The Barn is located on the Sevier River Ranch in Hatch, a small rural town of 200 people. Locals are very friendly and helpful, and you shouldn't hesitate to ask anyone for tips and recommendations.

The Sevier River Ranch is very private on the edge of town. It sits on 280 acres and is traversed by the Sevier River, and there are typically 100+ head of cattle on the property during the summer season.

Note that there are no grocery stores in Hatch and you should plan to bring at least some food with you. The nearest grocery store is in Panguitch (15 mins) and you will find a Walmart Supercenter in Cedar City (1 hour).

There is no public transportation. You will need a car. A 4x4 or high clearance is recommended in order to enjoy the surrounding off-road trails, but a regular low-clearance sedan is sufficient to access the Barn itself.

We have a strict no-pet and no-smoking policy.

Perfect spot for home base between Zion and Bryce. Clean, comfortable and off the beaten path. Recommend!

We were on a week long journey through Utah and this stop made a great break from the usual hotel. The room was beautiful and so were the views of the countryside. At night the fire pit was great for meeting the other guests and star gazing. I definitely would stay here again the next time I visit the area.

This property is such a great reprieve from city life. It is remote but easy to get to. We were visiting off season so nothing in town was open. We were prepared for this and brought in our own groceries. We made breakfast in the cabin, packed lunches for hiking and had dinners in the nearby towns. And the stars at nigh, WOW!! A great place to stay and unplug from the rat race.

We had a great time. The property was beautiful and the room clean. The bed was comfortable and warm. We were close to both Bryce and Zion. We would like to have had a kettle to heat water as there were no large cups to microwave and only coffee pods. We bought some food and things to cook on the fire pit outside. It was nice.

Scenery was beautiful! However, the bedding and towels smelled dirty. The view out of the kitchen window was of a travel trailer. This seems to be the only unit that does not have a stove or stovetop, which was 1 of the main reasons we booked it, so we could cook a couple of nights. They had a espresso machine which I was excited for except the coffee was stale and the creamer was bad!! And my daughter found bugs in her bed in the morning not sure if it was fleas or what. We decided nit to stay the 2nd night. Contacted the owner and all he said was he would send the housekeeper over to try and correct things. So I told him we had already booked another place. Sorry but this is the same housekeeper that cleaned the room before, all this should of already been done, we booked this in June so not loke it was last minute!! He never even apologized for the issues and only responded 1 time. Once I said we had booked another place, we never heard from him again!

This property was a great place to stay when visiting Bryce Canyon National Park. Located on a beautiful ranch, The Barn was nicely furnished with a well-equipped kitchen, and an easy check-in process. The only issue that we encountered during our stay was due to the “motel style” of the building and the fact that there was a shared wall. Unfortunately, it was not as quiet as we had hoped—it was quite easy to hear the guests next door (who stayed up much later than us) and their bed seemed to be placed against the wall, meaning that we periodically heard a banging noise against the wall when they shifted, waking us up multiple times throughout the night. The smaller bed in The Barn is located directly next to the shared wall, making it impossible to sleep through these noises (even with earplugs). If not for this arrangement, the property would have been 5 stars—we truly loved everything else about it, though it was frustrating to wake up without being well-rested the next morning.

It was a great weekend stay. The location is perfect for Bryce NP. Check-in was easy and straightforward. If there is anything for improvement are the potholes from the entrance to the room because we had a sedan but they aren't too bad and they still manageable.

This was a very clean and well kept property! We were visiting Bryce National Park and this place worked well for us. It is back in a secluded area but very much gave you the feeling it was part of the cattle ranch! Loved it. Kathy

Hatch, Utah is a very small town, so you need to plan ahead. But this is a nice, quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed meals at the Outlaw Saloon and the Red Dirt Diner. We got to see deer, horses, cows, jack rabbits, chipmunks and numerous birds. At night we could see more stars than I have in a long while.Clean and well kept. Comfy bed! Our unit was exactly as pictured and described. Easy instructions for how to check in. Felt safe here. Would be best for someone driving an SUV or other vehicle that has a little higher clearance.

We loved the location of this country ranch stay and being able to walk around a little seeing deer, cattle, and horses. It was extra delightful to wake up to a fresh coating of white snow, and even without our heat on, The Barn stayed plenty warm--especially with the warm covers on the beds! There was endless hot water in the shower and great WiFi.
