This apartment is close to the lively Mateos Gago street, right next to the Giralda and the Santa María de los Reyes Cathedral. A sophisticated two-bedroom property housed in a new building, yet preserving all the charm of Sevillian architecture on the outside. Inside, a modern apartment with all the comforts you could wish for.

The interior décor bears the stamp of one of our star designers, the renowned Ernesto de Ceano, who makes the most of the serene geometry and practical distribution of the home with his contemporary style, exquisite selection of furniture, and imaginative decorative solutions. Superb finishings –floors, windows and doors, insulation, all of the highest quality– exude just that air of prestige and comfort we want to reward our guests with, for we are just as discerning as they are.

The name of the apartment has not been chosen at random: Puerta del Sol, sunlight streaming in from early morning, all year round. A privilege which can best be enjoyed from either of the property's two terraces.

The first of these terraces is accessed through the kitchen and is equipped with a table and four chairs, perfect for starting the day with an al fresco breakfast. Coffee and sunlight: bring on the day! The kitchen is designed in a flowing, contemporary style, equipped to the detail with the best white goods and appliances. A washing machine and dryer are housed within a wall cupboard.

The bright living room is at the end of the corridor, and gives access to the main terrace. This is literally the Puerta del Sol, providing a way in for the light which streams into the apartment over many hours of the day. The terrace can best be enjoyed as a solarium with views to the Giralda and Seville's picturesque skyline. Fear not, sunbathing can be indulged in out of sight of prying eyes! With outdoor furniture and a shower, nothing better than to freshen up here after a quiet siesta or a sunbathing session... and feel free to ration your exposure with the large awning provided!

The living room is a prime example of Ceano's creative instinct: balance and an intelligent use of space, with a sophisticated selection of designer furniture, singular refurbished pieces, and more personal objects. There is a sitting area with audio system, TV, Plywood table and chair, and a comfortable and exclusive designer sofa. The dining area is fitted with a Saarinen tulip table and beautiful Hans Wegner CH24 chairs, designer hits of the 20th century and a firm favourite with the designer. There is also a working area, with a refurbished raw wood table.

The sleeping area has a large master bedroom with direct access to the solarium-terrace. It has a large built-in wardrobe, contemporary designer tables and lamps, and an en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower.

The second bedroom has a single bed, a spacious wardrobe and a small work area.

The second bathroom also has a rainfall shower, bright white sanitary ware, and contemporary designer floors.

Puerta del Sol is located in the same building as Puerta del Sol II, a sophisticated new building next to the lively Mateos Gago street and right on the doorstep of the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the old Jewish quarter of Seville. A truly privileged location in the historic centre of the city, just steps away from the Giralda and Seville Cathedral, the Royal Palace (Reales Alcázares) and the Archive of the Indies, and surrounded by bars and restaurants in which to enjoy typical Sevillian fare, or shops in which to buy local crafts. The apartment is just a short walk away from other important sites, such as the Murillo gardens and the old tobacco factory to one side, and the city's commercial centre on the other. The best way to get around Seville center is on foot. If you plan to arrive by car, let us know in time so that we can look at the best offer for parking in the area. Home at Homes recommends the service of CABIFY to move around for larger distances. Bicycle is also a good option in Seville.



Check-in times are between 15:00 and 20:30. If you want to arrive any earlier, please check availability in advance.



Check-in between 20:30 and 22:30 will have a surcharge of 30€; check-in after 22.30 a surcharge of 50€. This amount will be payable to our staff member meeting you on arrival.

    This property was in an amazing location. Walking distance to everything and just off a beautiful street filled with orange trees and lovely cafes. And it had a spectacular view of the cathedral. It was clean and well kept and the communication with the owner was wonderful. I would highly recommend this property.

    The VRBO in Seville was wonderful. It was fully stocked with everything we needed, including spices, laundry pods the air-conditioning worked Excellent. The location was perfect. We really enjoyed staying there.

    We stayed for three days during the feast of Corpus Christi. It is a very festive time to visit, and you can really experience the culture, warmth and hospitality of the residents. The apartment is in a very convenient location, a short walk from the cathedral and lots of shops and restaurants within 2 buildings of the property. However, the street was very private as cars are not able to pass through. It is a short walk 1/2 (250 feet) from the taxi drop off to the property. The apartment is well maintained and clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and toiletries are provided. The kitchen has a Nespresso maker with pods. Kitchen implements are complete.Check-in and check out is very smooth. Karina met us at the apartment during check in. She provided us with maps and excellent suggestions on transportation, restaurants and entertainment. She also kept the lines of communication open in case we needed help with anything. She was very kind and helpful.We really enjoyed our stay in Seville and would recommend this to everyone. Of all the cities we visited in Spain, Seville was the best.

    In the heart of the old town, just steps from the Seville Cathedral and lots of restaurants and shops, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful, and the A/C worked great, which was super helpful in the Seville summer heat! The property manager was very responsive, and Marta even took our luggage up three flights of stairs, as the elevator was broken during our stay. Highly recommend!

    In many ways this is a great apartment - central location, lots of space, well equipped and super clean. My rating is based on the host not fulfilling a request and not dealing with it at all well. A brand is ultimately judged on how well it deals with a problem, and in this case Vrbo and the Host severely let us down. If you don't have a problem this will be a great place to stay - I hope you have a better experience than we did. Such a shame as this should be a wonderful property.

    Perfect home base for our stay in Sevilla! Walking distance to everything. Clean, modern and very comfortable beds! We especially lived lounging on the patio with a view of the top of the cathedral! The management company was friendly, responsive and very helpful. I hope to come back and stay here again!

    We recently stayed in this flat for an extended period. It was a wonderful property for the two of us, in an ideal location. The flat is well appointed with high quality appliances throughout. The process with host/agent was flawless. Our only very slight disappointment was that the outside patio areas of the flat did not measure up to the photos provided on the VRBO listing. Nonetheless, we would highly recommend this property.
