Tasteful Arcata Cottage

This guest cottage is the perfect size for a couple or solo traveler. A nicely-appointed kitchen makes meal preparation easy. It's within easy walking distance of downtown Arcata. Recommended!

We were unable to travel at last minute so our grown children went and used the rental. They raved about sweet and clean it was. Said they could walk to everything too!

This cottage was cute and cozy and such a convenient walk into everything in Arcata. I would happily stay here again. The little patio and front yard area are really nice touches. This was a great cozy getaway with my family.

Great spot near the plaza for a single traveler or two. The hosts were accommodating and quick to respond, and the spot was clean, comfortable and quiet.

I stayed in this unit for four days. I was in town to visit family and friends. The location was perfect, walking distance to all of the main shops and restaurants in town. I had plenty of space to enjoy relaxing after a long day as well as host my parents for dinner. The unit was stocked with plenty of cooking supplies, shower needs and even laundry. I will stay here again and 100% recommend this property.

This is a really beautiful stay in Arcata that is super close to Cal Poly and just a short walk away from everything you need.

The cottage was perfect for us and our dog. Very clean and inviting. The off street parking was very convenient.

This was our second stay in just over a year. It was as excellent as the first time in June of last year. Location was perfect. Neighborhood was quiet, warm, and friendly. Perfect for walking downtown to the square and shops. As last year the purpose was to visit our Granddaughter who attends Cal Poly Humboldt.

The property is exactly as described. The photos are accurate, as is the description. The cottage is cozy and is centrally located. It has all the basic amenities (including salt, pepper and cooking oil!). The bath towels are fluffy as was the Duvet. Coffee shop is a block away. Gyro and Pizza is within 2 blocks. Walking to Cal Poly is super convenient and takes less than 5 min walk. The downtown Plaza, with its shops is about 10 min walk. Freeway access is within 5 min drive. I would, without hesitation, recommend the cottage to any parents visiting their child at Cal Poly. Mary, the host, is very responsive and flexible.Poverty is evident in Arcata, however, spots of sunshine and happiness can be found scattered throughout. Some of the homes fronts are well cared for and some are rundown. Potential to become a vibrant small town with an influx from the Bay Area, are evident to me. It could become a wonderful retirement community. Currently, homelessness is easily seen. There are significantly number of Canabis dispensaries.

Wonderful property, convenient location, close to everything, adorable little place.

The location was perfect for us, just down the street from our daughter. The cottage was perfectly appointed with everything we needed, even bowls and towels for our dog. We will definitely be back.

The place was very cozy and close to everything. Walkable to an excellent ramen restaurant and grocery store. Short drive to the redwoods community park. Perfect stay for a weekend getaway in Arcata!

We really liked this place. It had a nice layout, good natural light, convenient access, was very clean and well equipped. Nothing felt cheap. It was a nice little home away from home.

Bed was hideously uncomfortable. A yard sale mattress would have been better. Picture of the yard gave you the impression it was fenced and safe for you dogs. It was not and on a very busy street. We have always had wonderful vacation rental experiences. This place maybe great for partying young people who aren't bringing dogs and have good backs...

The cottage met all of our needs and was as advertised. It was lovely to be able to walk to nearby stores and the Plaza in 5-10 minutes.

This cottage was great for a visit to my daughter in grad school at CaPoly. Will definitely book again when I come visit!

Loved this cozy spot for a long-weekend visit. We've rented more than a dozen spots in Arcata over the last decade, and would not hesitate rebooking here.

Great spot. Central to everything. Allows pets which is a plus. Cute and has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Hope to stay here again next summer.

Relaxing. Wanted to stay longer.

We had a weekend planned that involved busy days and relaxed evenings. With Wildberries Grocery Store being so close, we could grab a premade meal, zap it in the microwave and settle in for a relaxing evening with our dog by ourside. Lovely.
