Ours is a great vacation rental! Ground floor unit, huge yard with plenty of private sun and shade. Near the beach and the village.
Tastefully decorated apartment, with full a kitchen and a propane grill in the back. 1 queen bed in the bedroom, 1 fold out couch in family room sleeps 2 more. And 2 folding cots for little kids if need be.
You get free use of bicycles, including a tandem and children's bikes. There are beach chairs, games, and water boards. There are tennis rackets as well. We make it easy for you to enjoy your vacation!
After a day from the beach or the village, you can come back and relax. Not much traffic or noise on our neighborhood and there's a great backyard patio. Very quiet and private with more than 2 palm trees; enough room for the kids to run around, or sit on the sofa with a book. There is also free laundry for your use! Or head over for some great fishing in the canal across the street; we have the fishing tackle, too.
Tangerine Dream is a great place for families or couples. Short distance to the Village and beach by bike, and a nice getaway from all the noise and activities of the main strip.

I love the neighborhood, Nice ,quiet, and pleasant. I Enjoy the Daiquiri Deck, lobster pot,& Meany's mini donuts. The beach was wonderful. I really enjoyed myself ??. I'll be booking another trip real soon
The place was perfect. The only thing neededos to upgrade the bed. It was not comfortable. Other than that I'd stay there again.
The inside of the property was average, outdated. It is in a very nice upscale neighborhood but the property is an eyesore. Looks like no yard work has been done for years. I would be embarrassed if I owned it. Be aware the washer listed is coin operated. It is not central air but two window units. Again it was an average property close to a beautiful beach.
The property is a humble abode among the beautiful homes surrounding it.
This is our 3rd stay at Tangerine Dream. We love the location and the neighborhood is quiet and clean. Close to everything in Siesta Key.
Wonderful neighborhood, close and convenient to everything in Siesta Key. Easy check in and Check out. Home included everything we needed and the Beach Equipment shed was an added bonus. We will be back soon!
I guess there was a double booking situation, and we were moved into the upper unit, which would not have been a big deal at all, but there were some issues. The biggest issue being the broken A/C unit, it was ungodly hot in the livingroom, dining room, and kitchen. Thankfully, the A/C unit in the bedroom worked, otherwise we would not have stayed. The bathroom sink was leaking quite a bit. Communication seems to be a difficultly for this property, as there is a new management team. This unit was very cute, and very clean. I would not recommend this rental to someone who won’t have a car there, it seems very close to Siesta Village, and the beach… but there really isn’t a safe way to walk there.
Honestly, the apartment would have been adequate, if it had been ready. Check in was at 4pm, my husband and I had been up since 3:30 am, spent the day at the beach, expected to check in, freshen up and go to dinner. Unfortunately, housekeeping had not yet been there. We called Debbie, she was nice enough, apologized, told us to go to dinner, she would contact housekeeping, should be done by the time we returned. We decided to wait a bit, hoping housekeeping would come so that we could at least unload our stuff. While we waited, we investigated the beach chairs that we planned to use the next day. The chairs were rusty, dirty and broken. Still no housekeeping, called the owner, Debbie, back to see if she had spoken to housekeeping, she had not been able to reach them. I told her that I was concerned that we would not have a place to stay. Debbie said, if you're that worried, you can go somewhere else. I was shocked!! Seriously!!! So, I asked her if we were to do that at her expense...she again said to go to dinner and the unit should be ready would we returned. Note that we did consider cleaning it ourselves, but there were no clean bed linens or toilet paper etc. available. So, we went to dinner, returned at 7pm......still no housekeeping. We called Debbie, multiple times, she did not answer, called the two other numbers available. Mark finally answered. He was very apologetic, was concerned that they had ruined our vacation. We told him that we were leaving and we would appreciated a full refund. He agreed. We did get a refund of most of our money, they conveniently kept the taxes & fees, but at this point, we had a wonderful time in Siesta Key, stayed at a beautiful hotel and I'd really rather forget about the Tangerine Nightmare. Overall, the place would be decent, but Debbie needs to learn customer service and the owners should have made sure that the unit was available for the next paid guest. We've stayed at many VRBO's, never had an issue, but this experience will make me think differently and I honestly don't know if we will use VRBO again.
Overall experience was good. Lack of communication by owner when visiting (several visits) property. Removed television and did not replace when they could have waited one day after we had left to keep everyone from being inconvenienced.
Owners need to replace the rusted beach chairs. Place was decent in a nice area.
When we arrived the cleaning crew had not been there, but the management responded immediately to our call and was able to resolve the issue. Great spot for rest and relaxation, but a short bike away from downtown.
This would have been a great stay except the host changed the booking without telling me. I had booked unit 2, a ground floor unit with a patio. The host changed our unit to a second floor unit with no patio or deck or outdoor space and a much smaller kitchen. When we arrived to find we were in the wrong unit, I messaged the host. She stated that the unit that I had booked had plumbing issues and she would get a plumber there in a few days and move us then (this time frame would be AFTER our reservation was over). So we stayed in the unit that we didn’t book. This is a review of unit 3, the 2nd floor unit that we ended up staying in. The good: Newly updated, it still smelled like new carpet. Clean. Everything seemed to work as it should, but we never turned on the tv. In the kitchen, we only used the sink and the fridge. The A.C. worked. Easy checking in with a key pad on the door and an additional deadbolt for safety. Use of bikes in the shed, which we didn’t get around to using. The bad: Wasn’t the unit we booked and host didn’t communicate this to us ahead of time. The bathroom is small, with no counter space (if you do your hair/makeup in the bathroom there is nowhere to put anything). The shower is small. The kitchen is very small and narrow. The A.C. is two window units, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The one in the bedroom is very loud. The furnishings are sparse. It would have been nice to have end tables next to the bed and a small table in the entry way where there is a mirror so that you could use that for hair/makeup. The outside of the property needs attention.
