T2 in Nazaré 100m from the beach

This is a lovely home that is fully equipped. Unfortunately the water heater shut off twice during our stay, but a technician came to repair it. We did not realize there was no WI-FI and the toilet seat broke the first time it was used. It is a lovely area and close to the beach and restaurants.

Check-in was a nightmare! The host needs to prepare a totally new plan to get the guest into the property. Arrangements need to be made upon reserving the property. The host claimed she had sent emails to us a few days before arrival, but we never received them. We were on a cruise to Europe and we never received emails she sent a few days before arrival. Hosts should make all the arrangements at booking and all the hassle can be avoided. Put keypad locks on the doors and give the guest the code upon arrival or when booking. Upon arrival we tried unsuccessfully to contact the host. We contacted VRBO and they were able to get her. Her gracious mother was kind enough to come to the property and let us in and show us around the unit. She was a real jewel! The unit was very nice except it had essentially no heat. It was cold and windy and we had to bundle up in blankets. VRBO has a serious problem with hosts and check-in procedures. Imagine being in a foreign country and arrive at a property without any means to get in or even locate the correct property. We are going to be very careful in the future if we use VRBO and get all the check-in issues resolved before we arrive at the property.

Hostess was very kind and nice.

The place was as described as on the website great for a family. the neighborhood was very noisy though. My only two complaints one there is no wifi and two is that the listing stated the check in after 3 not at 3. So we arrived in nazare early and decided to walk around at 330 we started getting messages from the host where are we the check in was at 3. She seemed a little annoyed that she had to wait for us and kept stating the check in was at 3 and she is going to lose a days pay because we where not there at three

A very nice, helpful family owns this apartment. It's in a quieter part of the town, near the beach but about 15 min walk to the more popular Praia do Norte northern end. The apartment has most of what you need, and when we asked about beach towels, Liliana was very nice and her mother brought over towels for us. The apartment itself is nice and easy to use. A few things could use updating... the mattresses are a bit thin. But otherwise, an easy, pleasant base of operations for a visit to Nazare, a lovely beach town.
