Stayed Oct 23, 2025Good location. Poor housekeeping. No (zero) toilet paper. Well equipped kitchen but oven did not work. Could not get washing machine to work. Host was polite but couldn’t fix our problems. Overall could be much nicer with a little attention.

Stayed Sep 15, 2025The location was great and the size of the apartment as well was nice. It was clean, the kitchen was fully stocked. We had issues using the oven, maybe instructions need to be left. This has been mentioned but the bathroom door not shutting fully makes it a bit awkward if you have multiple people staying. The bedding could be updated.

Stayed Jun 17, 2025We were here 5 long nights. There is no air conditioning nor fans. It is a very lively neighborhood and neighbors partied every night until dawn. If windows are closed, the heat is stifling. If windows are open, the noise and cigarette smoke is overwhelming. We got better sleep on the subway. The owner is responsive but based on the threatening pre-arrival email, he is used to hosting thugs for guests. The apartment feels like a student’s apartment with a few nice appliances. Washer is a blessing and microwave is powerful. Place is cheap and close to metro and cafes. The walls need repair and paint and the food in the cupboard is reaching historic status. There’s an open box of matzoh in the living room cupboard?l Emergency rations or bad housekeeping? Writing this review with less than two hours sleep for past 3 nights. It is hard to be positive when you’ve been staring at a dirty wall for hours waiting for people to shut the heck up..

Stayed May 18, 2025Positives: Location since there is a metro station really close and a lot of restaurants and grocery stores in the area. It was also safe as there are three locked doors to get through to enter the apartment. Negatives: As soon as you entered the apartment it smelled heavily of cigarettes. The towels and bed sheets smelled even stronger of cigarettes. Set some time aside to do laundry because after one wash the smell is magically gone (almost like it was never washed in the first place or the cleaners chain smoked while cleaning). There was also a layer of dust on everything. Be prepared to supply your own toilet paper, garbage bags, and paper towels. Additionally there was a giant gash in the mattress so I would sink into it while sleeping. Don’t expect any actual help from the hosts. Instead you will find excuses and disbelief at your concerns. We personally felt as though we were accused of lying. A final resolution was never met as the host claimed to be away dealing with a family matter. We’re trying to be understanding but at this point we have been checked out for a week when they said they would get back to us that weekend. Do not expect any help.

Stayed May 4, 2025Our hosts were lovely and very responsive. It was very simple but exactly what we needed for our week trip. Bed was comfortable, clean, and the location was perfect being 5 mins or less from major train lines.

Stayed Jan 9, 2025I was staying in Paris for a research trip. This was an excellent spot for that. Easy to walk to metros as well as the Marais and Rue de Rivoli. Many good cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood, especially right across the street at Limon. The hosts were friendly and easy to work with. Would stay again!

Stayed Feb 7, 2025Over all we had a good stay with fast communication between host. There was a leak upon arrival in the kitchen and the bathroom door was hard to close. Despite a very late arrive host responded quickly. If looking for a place to stay at a good price would recommend.

Stayed Dec 31, 2024Stayed a little over a week with my 2 adult sons. Very comfortable, cozy place and in a convenient neighborhood with great bakery and grocery stores nearby. Easy 3-minute walk to St. Ambroise Metro station (line 9), making it very simple to go anywhere in the city. Cédric and Céline were very helpful and answered all my questions. Easy check-in with clear instructions.

Stayed Oct 12, 2024You get what you paid for, but that saying has never been used positively. Some minor issues like the spoilt kitchen lightbulbs that flicker, dinnerware is generally dusty, and the freezer is really gross, but there are major issues. The sliding bathroom door is really bad and misaligned. The door is hanging from a rail on a ceiling, but the joints are misaligned and the door is thus unable to close fully. With use, it gets more misaligned. This meant that over my stay, I got to see more of my family's thighs when they were using the toilet. We found that a solution was to use a washcloth to cover the gap, but at some point the door needs fixing and not temporary solutions. The sofa bed is absolutely not a double futon. It's a double mattress on a single-bed table, which means the outer person is in consistent danger of flopping down onto the floor since there's no support. The toilet is also leaking, and there's a small pail to collect water, but that water did stink up. Also, I really think not providing enough toilet paper and soap is really silly. The host sent a check in document explicitly saying that they don't provide enough of these to cover the stay, but that just means the occupants are forced to buy a huge pack of TP/soap to use a small portion of it. Why? Just charge 10 euros more to cover this. There was a soap bar provided, and I've no idea is this was new or from previous guests, but it was grey. I also had to chase them for the check in process.

Stayed Jun 6, 2024I was concerned about staying in a neighborhood with so much graffiti at first. But we never felt unsafe and the location was excellent regarding catching public transit. Not to mention the walking distance to many great restaurants and bakeries. There’s a laundromat across the street and that’s a good thing Because French clothes washing machines, are a puzzle I could not figure out. The place needs new towels and the couch isn’t very comfortable, but we loved our French apartment away from home. Also, the showerhead that a previous reviewer mentioned has still yet to be fixed, but it didn’t matter to us as there was a shower handle and that worked fine. The most important question is, would we stay there again? Yes we would.
