It was a very pleasant stay for us. Everything was great. Thank you.
Cute ski studio in a nice development, convenient to the Tahoe City main drag and ~15 min from Palisades Tahoe. Just what we were looking for!
The unit itself was perfect. Felt like home the entire stay. Location was beautiful and the interior was super cozy. Would stay here again.
Right in the heart of Granlibakken, a great resort with lots of amenities.
Place was just big enough for 2 people, no where to store clothes/suitcases other than 2 tiny closets with a few hangers, but overall perfect for what we needed. The home could use a little TLC.. comforter had stains on it, Murphy bed was uncomfortable and mattress was held up with an older piece of plywood. Ceiling fan had too much dust and hanging cobwebs on it to use, host did reach out to offer cleaning service however. No extra blankets or linens available if you did have a 3rd person as listing allowed. Overall good location, tough bike ride from the bike path, mostly uphill on the way back. Nice amenities available especially for children. Overall would probably not stay again for a week, would be better suited for a 2/3 night stay.
Overall i was happy with this unit. It was perfect for a solo travel to the area. It honestly feels a little cramped for more than two. Two might even be pushing it a little. Some of the pictures and directioon the listing are outdated: 1. There isn’t a keurig but a regular coffee pot. I prefer a coffee pot but I’m glad i decided to wait to buy groceries until i saw the unit because looking at the virtual tour, i would have bought keurig pods (which i don’t use at home and would have been a waste). 2. The driving instructions that are sent were helpful but i had to have them up while driving. The instructions indicate that you can’t go up the hill to the check in which is no longer the case. There were no “do not enter” signs as indicated in the instructions and this way is much easier and quicker to get to the unit. 3.The check in process i think is the worst part. The instructions indicated a lock box outside the building. This lock box is there and the code worked but there was nothing there. I stood outside for about ten minutes trying to figure out what i was missing. I finally just went up to the until (third floor) and there was a keypad on the door to the specific unit. I was able to bypass the lock box completely. This needs to be revised for future visitors. Overall, and despite the above, i did like this location and would stay again. No AC is unfortunate but thankfully they do provide a couple fans.
It's a nice resort within the forest. There are some nice trails to go walking and sledding or even cross country ski. Having a hot tub and pool was nice after skiing. The gym is decent. The yoga studio is very spacious. The studio unit is nice. I liked having a full kitchen. The mattress on the bed is very soft, does not have support. The cleanliness of the unit was not up to par. It had cobwebs everywhere, the shower curtain was full of mildew, the vent in the bathrom is full of dust, splatter stains on the walls of the kitchen, crums underneath the microwave, coffee grounds inside the water tank of the coffee maker.
Absolutely loved this place. Facilities for Apre ski relaxation are top notch. We spent every evening soaking, saunaing and pool plunging. Perfect place of you're a skier, or like to be up at 6-all your neighbors are, and you know it. Love the comfy mattress on the Murphy bed.
My partner and I spent our anniversary in Tahoe this year. While we originally envisioned spending it somewhere overseas, given the unprecedented times with Covid, we decided to stay a few hours from our home in the Bay Area. Honestly, it was the perfect place for such a trip. We felt very safe as we hardly ran into other guests during our stay (surely, the time of year had something to do with it as well). Overall, it was a super tranquil and cozy spot and we're thankful that we had an entire kitchenette at our disposal. We also brought our dog. The room was a bit small for him and his energy (he is a GSD), but he loved the snowy, off-leash walks on the grounds. The walls are indeed paper thin so I wouldn't recommend this spot for guests with young children. My partner is tall and he wasn't very comfortable on the pull-out mattress, but I slept just fine. We appreciated how close by everything we needed was - restaurants, grocery store, hiking trails...all very short drives away from Granlibakken. If we bring our dog to Tahoe again, I would definitely consider coming back to this spot!
This listing was just okay, the room is very cramped with little room between the bed, dining table, and couch. The property had some cleanliness issues, their was noticeable random hairs in the bathroom (on the floor, tub, and sink) & on clean towels. The dishes seemed unclean with lip marks on glasses, white/gray film on other glassware, and some dirty utensils. The track lighting in the unit had a significant amount of dust and cobwebs. The property also appears to have been split at some point into a A and B unit, we could hear nearly everything from the other unit, so when the neighboring family left a tv on with a videogame looping a sound while they were out for dinner, it was hard to have piece a quiet. Overall though the unit provided a decent place to make our meals and get a good nights rest.
Nice studio condo in Granlibakken Resort area. Pool and tennis courts were nice amenities. Only negatives were that cable wasn't activated upon arrival and directions on how to find condo within the resort could have been more specific, but otherwise a nice rental.
