Stayed Jul 19, 2024I am a frequent traveler with experience renting homes and hotels across for business and personal travel. I have never written a bad review until now. The host was very responsive for the midnight hour that we arrived at the home. Prior to arrival, we were given special instructions on how to pull out and turn the shower knob just to get running water. I took videos of me following the instructions provided and submitted it to the host. We still could not get it to work and we were unable to shower. I also videoed us killing flies all night and submitted to the host. There was a bad smoke smell coming through the vents that my kids and family had to suffer through the night with since we had no where else to go. The area did not feel safe so we did not feel safe letting the windows up to vent so we had to deal with the flies and smoke all night. We got out as soon as we could the next morning and we’re alarmed to find yellow caution tape and several police outside close to the property. I also made the owner aware of hair on the pillow underneath the cover and submitted that video to which the response was - THAT’S WHY THERE IS A COVER OVER THE PILLOW. Stains were on the towels as well. On top of this, the host/owner only apologized for the flies, but was not willing to give me a full refund. I was charged for the night stay and all of the applicable fees. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed Apr 1, 2024Loved the place. Noticed the shower is very hard to turn on and off. Shower water temperature is easy to make scalding hot. A risk for kids…

Stayed Oct 7, 2023My family and I really enjoyed staying at this property. We traveled to Chicago for my father's funeral and the property owners could not have been more kind and readily accessible and available to help us in any way. The space can comfortably hold six people. The location is minutes away from the lakefront and Hyde Park. Jackie was amazing and she made our stay exceptional.
