Stately home with private garden- Cefalù S.Ambrogio

The owner is right nearby and couldn't have been more helpful. The house is spacious very comfortable and well equipped. The views are magnificent and the town is town is quiet -- three restaurants and that's about it. You need a car (and a careful driver) and this is a good base to use to see surrounding attractions away from the crowds.

We had an amazing time at this well-located and perfectly furnished house. Great outdoor setting with plants and flowers everywhere and even friendly tortoises. The town is lovely and the view from there is picturesque. The hosts were really responsive and helpful. We would definitely go back ;)

Lovely property tucked away with a lovely enclosed shady garden. Inside it's immaculately clean with traditional furniture. The bathroom had shelves and a freestanding oak cupboard for all your bathroom bits - a real treat, most places don't even have a shelf leaving you scrabbling about in your wash kit! Everything thing was done to a high standard. It has a sea view from the patio. The walls to the enclosed garden were stone built and Tono has done a great job throughout. Both Tono and Melinda were great hosts. Tono met us in the village and lead us to the property. S'Ambrgio is a lovely village with a couple of restaurants and a great base for visiting Cefalu and the Parco Madonne. Tono has built another property above. It has 3 bedrooms and is built to Toni's high standards. The stone work is a work of art! It's furnished in a modern chic style and I would recommend a stay at either property depending on your requirements.

The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Their handsome son Marco is a gem who gave us lots of tips for touring around. Cefalù is a great place and Sant Ambrogio is much better. Overseeing the Rock and beaches, we have found calmness there. It’s so wonderful to have a holiday in this part of Sicily! Thank you Melinda and Antonio for making us feel home. Jun and Colin

Comfortable home, very clean, we enjoyed our stay!

A great location in a quiet village, two bars, supermarket and two restaurants within a two minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is very well equipped, everything you need is provided. Melinda and Toto are great, extremely helpful and a great sense of humor, nothing is too much trouble. Sunsets from the restaurant below the apartment are fantastic, Saro in the bar makes the best granita around. We have already reserved the apartment for next year.

The apartment was exactly what it said it was. It was very clean, well equipped and we never had any problems. The hosts Melinda and Toto were very friendly and helpful when we asked for anything. The area is amazing with its beautiful views, food, sightseeing and great shopping in Cefalu. There are two very nice restaurants in the village serving delicious sicilian food. We stayed in this apartment both in september 2014 and in august 2015 and we would love to come back to this place in 2016 as well.

Molto bene! We had a lovely time in Sicily. The owners Toto & Melinda were very helpfull and so were the villagers. Nice apartment and little garden (with 4 tortoises!), nice village with two nice restaurants and nice pebble-beach. And the old city of Cefalù and the Madonie-mountains just around the corner. One week later back home (Netherlands) my girlfriend woke up and was a bit disappointed: she had dreamt that we went back to Sant' Ambrogio. How's that for a compliment!?

Fabulous views of Cefalu, very good coffee (especially cappuccino) at Saro's bar, wi-fi included! Pizza restaurant to be highly commended! Lovely tranquil garden next to accommodation with mature plant covered pergola. Town of Cefalu an easy 12 minute drive along the coast, lots of stuff to see, do & eat there! Hosts Melinda & Toto were attentive, helpful and very friendly! We had a great holiday there!

We spent two great weeks in Sant’Ambrogio. Our hosts Melinda and Toto have been very kind and helpful. For instance they and their niece Margherita helped us to get our lost luggage back. Special thanks to Margherita, she always was very helpful, and had great tips. Melinda once dropped us off and picked us up in Céfalu, as we couldn’t get a taxi then. Mille grazie, Melinda!! They provided us with breakfast for the first day. Furthermore we could serve ourselves with herbs, tomatoes, onions, lemons and strawberries from the garden. Our well-designed apartment has been always cool inside despite the hot ambient temperatures. It took about 10 minutes by taking stairs down to the closest beach. But we also used our car to find some other beautiful spots. The small village was located a few kilometers from Cefaú with a beautiful view of the coastline. Sant’Ambrogio offered everything you need: two restaurants and bars and a small supermarket. In particular we liked the warmth we were received by the people in the village (even during the World Cup. ;))). We felt very comfortable and we’ll surely come back soon!! Viele Grüße aus Aachen!
