We are looking forward to your Stay at the Fort Hill Inn, Boston!
This is a really charming little place and we enjoyed our stay, quite a bit. There were a couple of quirks that are probably good to be aware of also, but over all, excellent. Pros: - close to downtown - Easy access to freeways, shops, dining, etc - Furnishings are comfortable and charming - Very comfortable mattress and bedding - HD big screen TV with Netflix - Well-appointed kitchen with full size fridge and plenty of room to cook. - Quiet street and building, especially for its age. Cons: - No parking at the building itself. We parked a block away, which was inconvenient with inclement weather. - Laundry services are not in the unit. They are “available in the basement,” but the basement is very full of storage items and is not really accessible. - The spiral staircase to the bedroom is charming, but tight. If you’re a bigger person or have knee issues, this will be a challenge. - No thermostat in the unit. We had a couple of evenings that the temperature got pretty warm and we had to open windows and run A/C while the heat continued to run. Inefficient. All things considered, we loved our stay and would book this property again. We would plan and pack a little differently knowing the limitations, but we really did enjoy the unit.
The owner was responsive and even let us check in a little early. The apt was clean and looked nice, but was further from the city than we thought. The basement bedroom was difficult to access using the circular stairway and was very musty. This caused breathing issues for my husband with asthma. He ended up having to sleep upstairs on the uncomfortable pull out couch. Additionally, the shower leaked onto the floor each time we used it and the bathroom fan was always on.
Very clean comfortable unit , location is basically a 15-20 min drive to the waterfront district and about the same to Fenway , we found it was nice and quiet neighbourhood .. the only issue is the parking during the week days can be a bit of a chore , but if you’ve been to Boston that’s pretty much a city wide issue ..would recommend and would definitely stay again
We were in town for just one night and this place was great! Beautifully decorated and clean. Thank you!
This property was great for us. It was my husband and I and our 2 teenagers. It was exactly as described. Updated, but still had that Boston charm. We felt it was in a great locations. We had no problem finding street parking. We were there to tour colleges for my daughter, so it was convenient to BU & NU. We took Uber one day and drove the other day. Would stay here again.
We stayed there for almost a week and the place was really great for its price! The manager of the location was very accommodating and willing to help us with our stay. All amenities were provided to make it our home away from home! Would definitely use that location again!
My husband and our friend needed a place to stay while moving our daughter from one apartment to another. This place worked out wonderfully for them to stay. Thanks
This could not have been a more perfect place for us to stay during our most recent trip to Boston. 5 min walk to the Orange line station and into downtown quick each day. Awesome little place that captures the feel of Boston which is exactly what we were going for with our kids. Great communication with the owner and super easy checkin with everything being keyless entry. A+ property that we will look to stay at next time we are in town.
I highly recommend this beautiful, well-kept place. Stayed with my family (spouse and two kids) as we explore Boston for a couple days. It’s a quiet area and lots of restaurant options are nearby. Subway is a quick walk, and Uber/Lyft prices to downtown are quite reasonable too. We loved the historic charm of this place.
My husband, our baby boy and I visited Boston last week. The rental is exactly like the photos. The main level has the bathroom, kitchen, TV and a queen sofa bed. The basement of second level down, has a bed and a TV. We did not use the basement area because it was inconvenient with the baby go up and down in the middle of the night. The host provides shampoo, detergent, soap and toilet paper and paper towel, very nice and needed supplies for a late arrival. We found parking every night about 1 block away on Gardner St. However, it's a tow zone so the first and third Monday of each month needs fo be free for Street cleaning. Check that before leaving your car. Uber eats and Doordash work. We dis not explore the area that much but is a welcoming diverse neighborhood. The house has family games and offers streaming apps for the TV. The apt is about 10m away from Downtown Boston driving.
This home is adorable and full of charm. Terrence has a binder full of great information that was very helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. Very nice walk to the orange line to take us straight into attractions. Communicating with him was very good. We would definetly stay in any place where Terrence was hosting !!!!
Having to leave suitcases upstairs and not in the bedroom was tough. The spiral staircase to the bedroom was terrible. Would not stay there again.
We had a good stay at this property. The condo was clean and decorated well.
