Spacious, top floor with view of downtown L.A., steps to Larchmont Village!

I own a special effects company and was in Hollywood for a production shoot at a nearby studio. Decided to forego a hotel for a more comfortable, convenient, quiet and at home experience for my extended stay. The Larchmont Character Building is a beautiful, well-maintained historic property that has four professionally managed suites situated on a very nice street. The rooms are large, well furnished and tastefully decorated and my 1,100 square foot suite had a fully equipped kitchen and full sized washer and dryer. Off street parking was a huge plus in an area where parking is sometimes challenging. The location is excellent and in close proximity to restaurants, bars, a grocery store, studios and the historic Larchmont Village shopping district. Even though I had a rental car, I walked to dinner a couple of nights when I didn't cook. Osteria Mama offered excellent Italian and the famous Lucy's El Adobe is just up the street. This place is in the heart of Hollywood if you're into all the local attractions. I'm a discriminating frequent business traveler who typically stays in 4 or 5 star hotels and this was a very welcome alternative. I just wish my wife had been along for this trip as she would have loved it. I will be a repeat customer.

The apartment is well located on the edge of a very upscale, walkable neighborhood. It is within easy walking distance of Paramount Studios, and shopping along Larchmont with its trendy stores and Sunday farmers market. The apartment is large for a one bedroom and is tastefully and comfortably furnished. The satellite TV includes a DVR and premium channels. Crucially, off-street parking is provided. The kitchen is attractive but quite small. While all necessary cleaning supplies are provided, the pantry is strictly bring-your-own. The bathroom is vintage, and is adequate, but the tub faucet has been leaking for months if not longer. There are a couple of minor areas of cost-cutting that one should not expect in a rental at this level: while the mattress is of good quality and the towels okay, the sheets were a well-used, and cheap, polyester blend, and the DSL wifi is slow.

My husband and I were here over the Christmas holiday. My son recently moved to LA ...so we had the privilege of renting this home for 8 days. So comfortable and so welcoming! The bed was so incredibly comfortable. The kitchen had all amenities that were needed to cook a holiday meal! We never used the back deck area as it was a bit cool while we were there..but plan on returning and staying here in the future! Beautiful neighborhood...perfect location! We had one small blip with our stay.. the hot water went out on Christmas day...sent a quick text to Yessie and she had someone there within the hour! Thank you AGAIN Yessie!! From booking this home to receiving our deposit back...what a wonderful and PROFESSIONAL team of people! Thank you Rexx and Jonathan and Yessie! Looking forward to my next stay!!

Wow.. what a great find this was!! Walking up to the entry you definitive FEEL the history of this beautiful home. I stayed in the 'Monroe Suite' which was so romantic & magical! Inside it was so much bigger and charming then the pictures.. with all sorts of little nooks & the decor perfect. The natural lighting in the place is lovely ALL times of day... but every room has a unique chandelier or lighting fixture on a dimmer LOVED THAT! The kitchen amenities dishes etc. were all top of the line. There are linings for setting the table for dinners. But the kitchen nook or the back deck are the places you'll end up hanging out. Nice comfortable bed, soft linens plenty of storage also top of the line washer and dryer. The bathroom is a little dated but I didn't mind at all, great shower! Overall the place was elegant but not fussy and VERY spacious!!!! I could totally LIVE in the place.. forever! Thank you Jonathan & gang for working with me and my special requests. I WILL be back!

My family stayed here off and on for a few months while we were renovating our nearby loft! It was perfect. All the amenities you can hope for. Great service. Convenient to everything. Super happy with our stay here!

I have traveled all over the world and stayed in five star resorts and villas. I have seldom encountered a more gracious, professional, stellar company and properties they represent than CHG. In this time of inferior service and attention to detail the team members are truly a rare find. JAS

Properties that are elegant, clean and yet full of character! They have catered for my needs, whenever I stay in L.A. for some years and I would never use anyone else.
