Bokeelia, Florida
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 2nd-floor apartment, located in a duplex on a dead-end road in the heart of Pine Island Center. We purchased this property when we first moved to the island, we lived in it for a few years. We eventually purchased a single-family home a mile away and moved. It was available for annual rentals for several years, but we recently decided to rent it seasonally. This property has a 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment below it that will also be rented out seasonally. There is a shared laundry room for both units. It is located within walking distance to the Pine Island Pool and Library, and a few miles from Jug Creek Marina where you can reserve a launch to Cayo Casta or launch your own boat. A short drive or bike ride away is Galt Preserve where you can take a walk in nature and see the Eagles play. There is plenty of room for parking a boat trailer. There is little to no traffic on this street as it is a dead-end road, therefore it is very quiet. At the top of the street, you can access the 16-mile bike path. This apartment is very bright and cheery, there is a private back deck over-looking the backyard and shaded by a mature avocado tree.
Sharon answered any questions I had. And was very patient with me. The home was lovely. It had everything you need.
Great vacation place
House located in quite place far from highways. It’s good for relaxing. Nice place for family vacation.
This upstairs property has all you need for a nice stay on Pine Island. Not glitzy, just clean and open for great views of the surrounding palms and other tropical plants. You can walk to some nice places to eat, including a taco truck and deli. The island is more laid back than the areas with beaches with nice places to walk and see birds and golpher tortoises. If you are staying a while, there is a pool nearly by, too. The kitchen tools are adequate if not fancy, tho we didn’t do much cooking, and we never tried the outdoor BBQ on the back deck. The beds were good and the overhead fans kept the air moving so we hardly needed the A/C. The owner was very helpful when we needed something but not intrusive and she accommodated a timing change so kindly that we were able to relax into out little haven easily. This is near a main crossroads for the island so there can be traffic noise, but the street itself is not busy. The nearby Matlacha gives you nightlife if you want it and crafty shopping with very friendly people. Don’t miss the French bakery....it is not far but located off the beaten path. It’s the Pine Island Getaway Cafe and it’s the best this side of Paris! We also liked the Perfect Cup on Matlacha for breakfast - great coffee and a relaxed vibe. All this added up to a wonderful stay in a comfy place and we are thankful we found our relaxing slice of island life!
