Stayed Feb 11, 2018Totally comfortable, modern, clean, had everything we needed. Made to feel very welcome by the whole family. Special thanks to Herr Teufel Senior for the Carnival tips, to Frau Teufel for checking we were okay and to both Herr Teufel’s for helping us get the car out of a snow drift. Important advice : don’t forget winter tyres - not only compulsory but actually worth their weight in gold!

Stayed Aug 12, 2017We had a 2 bedroom apartment in a 300 year old family home which has been renovated to a modern apartment. Our host, Heike was very friendly and helpful regarding places and things to do in the area. The apartment was very quiet and the terrace at the end of the day was a comfortable place to relax. There is so much to see and do in this area and we would recommend Heike's apartment as a lovely base to explore the Schwarzwald.

Stayed Oct 8, 2016Located in a quiet residential area, the gite is tidy and surprisingly large with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, a sizable living area and a private patio. With plenty of room for four, it was quite luxurious for just the two of us. Occupying the first floor (equivalent of the second floor in the US) of an eighteenth century farmhouse, the gite has been recently remodeled and is quite modern throughout. Set in a hillside, there is easy, ground-level access through the gite’s private entry from the off-street parking area. Within walking distance is a boulangerie and two restaurants, very convenient before and after a long day of sight seeing. Heike was a fantastic host, going out of her way to offer whatever help she could and answer any questions we posed. It certainly helped that her English is excellent.
