Loweswater apartment is very spacious and comfortable. A home from home in the Lake District, Located in the Lake District village of Mockerkin ,close to Loweswater and Crummock. The Gem town of Cockermouth is just a 10 minute drive away, with all its independent shops and popular cafe culture.

Located within a private mews, having gated access, the apartment is very quiet and private. Park your car in your own allocated space, and just a few steps through the ornamental gatesyou will find a private outdoor stairway to the apartment.
Within the apartment you will find a super spacious sitting room (4mx5m) . Large French windows allow in light to make this a very bright and attractive room. Expansive views over the countryside will take your eye on to the Solway coast and the Scottish border area of Dumfries and Galloway ( an easy drive if you wish to explore this area ). There are two comfortable settees in this large room. A flat screen 42TV with freeview , stereo system and DVD player are at your disposal when relaxing after a day out on the Fells. Lots of books and games are also provided for your entertainment. Maps of the area are also provided.

The kitchen is comprehensively equipped for all your self catering needs. You just provide the groceries and everything else is there for you for all your culinary requirements.
Dining is on a large round table with four chairs.

A modern fully tiled bathroom has a full size bath with an overhead electric shower, a large hand basin with illuminated mirror above, toilet and heated towel rail. All quality towels are provided .

Bedroom number one is large and has lots of storage in a double wardrobe ,which has plenty of wooden hangers. Two bedside cabinets and a vanity unit make up the room. A down duvet is provided along with an optional non allergenic duvet. All bed linen is also provided. Two pillows per person.

Bedroom two is slightly smaller but has all the same facilities as bedroom one.

A shared courtyard has two picnic tables, also a small arbour to sit and relax.. This courtyard is a real suntrap and very sheltered. We also offer a secure store for your bikes.

    Overall great. Ray and Margaret showed us round the apartment and made sure we knew how everything worked. Very good information pack provided. Access to apartment is via an outside metal fire escape style staircase which was slippery when wet. Bedrooms and bathroom have sky lights only and to see the best view from lounge requires you to stand at the window due to the height. It would be a great addition if if there was decking or balcony to use from the patio doors in the lounge.

    The owners were very helpful, even rang us on the way there to let us know of a road closure and to give us new directions. The apartment was lovely, clean, cosy and warm. In a good location for some lovely walks.

    The property was very clean and well equipped. The area is very quite with beautiful scenery. Easy access to Cockermouth and the surrounding area. Highly recommend The Royal Yew to eat out.

    A delightful first floor apartment with lovely views over the village, towards the coast. A comfortable lounge/ diner with a well equipped kitchen, plenty of storage space and good WiFi. A welcoming place to enjoy a relaxing evening and an excellent night’s sleep after our Lakeland adventures.
