Spacious 1BR 1BA with Full Kitchen and Living Room - 3 min walk to the beach

Great time, great value, just short walk to the beach. Also had access to washer and dryer that was a plus

We have been visiting Atlantic Beach each summer for many years but have always stayed at a condo on the beach. Tried something different this year and found this cute little apartment on the ground level of a 2-story house. The unit was the perfect size for us (2 adults and a teenager). It was neat and tidy and conveniently located approximately a block from the beach. There is no view of the beach from this unit, but there is some view of the inlet from the bedroom window. The bed was extremely comfortable! Our teen used the futon in the living room. The view from the kitchen and backdoor looking out to the backyard could use a little attention, as it is a bit cluttered to look at. There are a few things in the unit that need some attention and repair, such as the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Not a big deal except being by the beach means high humidity, warranting air movement in a hot steamy bathroom. The carport which is right outside the front door of this ground level unit, is covered by the deck of the upstairs unit, creating a nice, shaded area. It was spacious with a picnic table and plenty of room to hang stuff to dry such as towels and bathing suits (we brought our own paracord for this purpose). The laundry room has a separate entrance directly off the carport and was very convenient. There is also an open outdoor shower on the side of the house, which made it easy to rinse all the sand off of ourselves and our beach items. We contacted the owner about a few things during our visit and he was very responsive and helpful. Overall, we were very pleased with this property and feel like it was a good choice for us.

This spot is a great location, in a quiet neighborhood, and is approximately a 5 minute walk to Atlantic Beach. If you are trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of motels, hotels, and being around a lot of other people, this is the spot. The property has a full size refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave oven, toaster, and toaster oven. This property also has a dining room table with seating for four, a nice size bedroom, with comfortable bed, and a large futon, that would easily allow sleep space for two guests. There is also an on-site laundry room and plenty of parking space, as well as covered parking. Overall our stay was great and much better than expected, and I would definitely recommend this place if you are attempting to have a quiet and peaceful stay at the beach.

The property could have been a bit cleaner but overall we had a good time

We really enjoyed our stay at the rental. It is very convenient to all locations. Beach access was easy and we could walk to the Atlantic Beach pier and two of our favorite restaurants, Amos Mosquito and Island Grill. Also a short drive to Fort Macon State park. The rental was in excellent condition and the beds very comfortable with nice porches to enjoy a nice view and cool drink.
