The cabin was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The floor heating and gas fireplace was very efficient in keeping the main area warm. Mattresses were very comfortable. The Wi-Fi can only be used for a limited search on Internet and possibly watching some news. It is certainly not strong enough for a true remote work or any movies and shows streaming. We could not locate DVD player. So guests should not plan on working from here and should find entertainment in doing something other than watching TV. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place to stay. We had a lot fun and we’re very comfortable.
The perfect getaway cabin. Cabin is always clean and know they're upgrading the cookware.
We came up to play in the snow with our kids and our dogs. This cabin was perfect! The pictures do not do it justice. The bedroom upstairs was an amazing retreat with a wood burning stove which was perfect on the cold nights for us. It was nice that there was a day bed with a trundle upstairs if we needed it for our kids. Our kids stayed in the down stairs bedroom. There were two queen beds. They were very comfortable. A bonus was the line that was attached between two trees to hook our dogs up to. They were able to run freely while still being on a leash. The kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed for cooking. The living room was great with a cozy fire and games to play as a family. We will definitely go back!
The cabin was really nice and quieter than I thought it would be next to the main road. The map on VRBO shows this property in the wrong location and I had to contact the property manager to find it. Also there really needs to be some non-slip surfaces placed in the downstairs tub. I don't know whether it was the cleaning product used or what, but it was extremely slick and would be bad for older guests. Also, something very slick and waxy was used to clean the wood floors and was also very slick. It wouldn't hurt to get the carpets steam-cleaned. These are minor things, but may be a liability for other guests - I still enjoyed my stay very much.
Pine Siskin Place is a well maintained, clean cabin. It is located off of SR373 on quiet road. I liked the layout of the cabin, it suited our family of four very well. There are two decks with planty of room. The kitchen is well stocked and they have extra towels/linens available if you are there for a longer stay. You do need to bring a hair dryer. The beds are listed as queen sized...I'm not sure that is correct. They seemed smaller than that to me. If the owner happens to put a bigger bed in the master, we will try to rent this one again.
The cabin was very nice and beds were comfortable. The cabin had not been vacuumed as there was alot of evidence on the rugs and animal fur. (We didn't not have a pet). There was also no vacuum on the premises or I would have done it myself. It wasn't worth my time to call the rental agency as we did not want to be disturbed. The kitchen was a little inadequate as there were no sharp knives and only 2 cereal bowls 2 steak knives and 3 large plates but lots of little plates. We had to keep washing for each meal. The location was right at the main highway but on maps it was directed much further back. There was alot of quad noise and traffic due to 4th of July weekend. Cabin Butler did our check in. We had left a message about early check in and they never responded. When we arrive and hour and a half early we were told they wouldn't let us in anyways because they were too busy for the holiday. Then I stood at the counter thinking the girl was at least checking me in and finally realized she wasn't. We had to come back an hour later to check in. Very unorganized. None of which is the fault of the owner. I travel alot and never experienced this kind of property manager. Overall the stay was pleasant minus all the quad noise which you can't do much about.
This cabin was awesome. It had almost everything you would need for a nice stay in pines. The only thing I might suggest would be to replace the well used mattress in the downstairs bedroom. It sags in the middle and made it a little uncomfortable to sleep. Other than that we loved the place.
Very nice house, everything needed was supplied.
Clean, well-appointed cabin with all the necessities. Nice towels and linens, pots and pans/dishes for eating in, and the perfect size for four guests. (Guest shampoo, conditioner and soap was a nice touch!) Lovely porches provide nice outdoor seating areas for bird watching and wildlife viewing. Gas fireplace was easy to use and provided nice ambience. Easy walk to town via the Greer Village Walkway for a meal at the Inn. Recommend!
We stayed in the cabin for a weekend ski trip to Sunrise. A perfect getaway, cozy, great fireplace and comfy beds. Just what we were looking for!
