Stayed Jan 15, 2022It was a great location. Walking distance to all the shops and many of the restaurants. The info book in the room was immensely helpful. I made a list of all the places I wanted to see in the time I had and then followed that list. I was pleasantly surprised by being right on the water in this unit. If interested in history I recommend the Museum of the Islands in Pine City

Stayed May 28, 2021Sharon the owner was excellent and wanted to know if we found any problems from the start. It was so peaceful and relaxing to enjoy our mornings sitting at the waters edge and waiting for the dolphins to come by.

Stayed Mar 4, 2021We stayed in unit 3, we had a great view of the water. The unit had everything we needed. There is a lot of traffic in town but it quiets down significantly at night so it wasn’t an issue at at for sleeping. Sharon is very helpful if there’s anything you need.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Did have two experiences with a cockroach- first day and last day. Said they had sprayed for them. Fun people for neighbors!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Matlacha is known for cute little bungalows...and this fits the bill! Nice place on the water & walking distance from everything. Sharon was great and everything went smoothly.

Stayed Feb 1, 2020Overall, we loved Sharon's property. The studio room was exactly as pictured, with a small kitchenette. The bed was VERY comfortable. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and the beach chairs. My husband caught Mangrove Snappers off the dock. Matlacha is a darling community with art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. My favorites were Leoma Lovegrove's Gallery and Wildchild Gallery. Sharon and her husband were very responsive to a few maintenance issues we had. My only challenge in this area were the no-see-um insects. Due to the mangroves, they are prevalent at dusk, and I have a strong reaction to them.
