Stayed Aug 10, 2025Rosa provided helpful instructions for accessing the apartment. Parking was very convenient right in front of the door. Can only see ocean by walking up the hill, but the apartment was tidy and pleasant in a quiet neighborhood. Pool up the hill also looked very nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Apr 14, 2025It was the nicest place we stayed while in Portugal! Getting into the gates initially was an issue because we didn't understand the process when nobody was at the gate (our Bolt driver was furious). So, more clarity on how to get the remote for that would have been helpful in advance. Also, the Netflix wouldn't work and our accounts could not work from the US. We had a lot of requests for help that often went over 24 hours so that was frustrating. The property itself was nice , but thought we would have a view... but that was only of the parking lot and the back of the places that had the view.

Stayed Apr 7, 2020We had been looking forward to our trip to Madeira, which we had prepared very carefully. It was our intention to travel to Madeira from 7/4/2020 - 18/4/2020. Daniel Oliveira and his son Igor always answered our questions and were always easy to reach! In our opinion, their house is well located. Close to Funchal and yet a bit higher and quieter, above the bustle of the city.... We were unlucky that before our departure a state of emergency was declared in portugal because of the worldwide COVID 19 pandemic. All flights to Madeira were suspended. Fortunately, we were told by Daniel Oliveira that we would receive the value of our reservation as credit for a future stay. We really appreciate their proposal! Right now we want to continue our fight against the spread of COVID-19 and stay at home in lockdown... But if there's a vaccine, and it's safe to travel again... then we hope to go on a trip to this beautiful island! It's nice to know we'll be able to use a voucher for this...

Stayed Mar 13, 2020Lovely apartment on a lovely island. Quiet position away from the bustle of Funchal. Shame we were there when the global coronavirus pandemic occurred. Recommend the apartment thoroughly. Daniel and Igor were very helpful at a difficult time.
