Stayed Sep 26, 2025The property was fine for a place to sleep at night. I would not recommend it for more than 2 people. The odor inside the property was awful. A mix of fumes from the garage, mildew, and cat urine. The dogs lunging at the fence line anytime you walked by was also a nuisance. I did not spend much time there, only slept at the property at night.

Stayed Apr 30, 2025Good location near UCSB. Kitchen & living area tiny and cramped with large futon…so hard to even watch a movie or TV. Space ok for 1-2, but not 4

Stayed Oct 4, 2024After the Vrbo check in issue got resolved by the host, we enjoyed the Mermaid for two nights while visiting our son at UCSB. Host went above and beyond to fulfill our needs while staying at the Mermaid. The location is in the middle of SB and Goleta.
