Secluded little nest among the Redwoods. So quiet and peaceful, the perfect spot for a getaway. We had adequate ATT service, but nice to be disconnected from TV and Wi-Fi. Place is better than advertised and is really a gem. First time using Vacasa, and everything went smoothly. Beds, water pressure, fully-equipped kitchen: all you need for a great stay. Deck was perfect for afternoon yoga, and it was close to activities and Redwoods National Park, as well as gas and groceries.
I liked everything about the property. We were able to disconnect from all the city life. We had internet but there was no tv. That was a plus for us. We enjoyed listening to the stillness of the outdoors with the most beautiful faint sound of the crashing waves of the ocean. The cabin was stocked with everything but the food. No microwave, but we didn't need it. The redwoods surrounded the cabin. And we were able to see deer on one night. The views from inside the cabin are spectacular. It is the perfect size for three people. If we would go back we would definetly stay here again. Beautiful and amazing.
This was just what my friend and I needed for a birthday getaway. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the view was amazing. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but we were only about 5 minutes from town. The only reason I marked them down for cleanliness is because the dishes were dirty, there was food still left on some dishes. Also it was only 50° inside when we got there… I don’t know if they have someone check over the property before someone checks in but it would be nice if the heater could have been turned on even just an hour before checkin (it took so long for the place to heat up). Otherwise this place was perfect and we would definitely stay here again!
This cabin is the perfect getaway. The location is quiet and very peaceful. The backporch looks straight into the surrounding redwood forest. We had the pleasure of staying when it was rainy and sleeping under the tin roof was perfect, never too loud and very peaceful. There isn't a TV here, so bring a good book or bring a laptop. The place is very clean and has a great design. Perfect vacation, highly recommended.
It was a nice, in the woods but not too for out of civilization. The no TV or internet forces you to enjoy nature. A really cute place
Quiet, clean. Simple. Like the location, but drive slow coming down the road to the cabin at night, it is usually foggy. Other than could use a bed side table for a clock and book, great place. Nice reading during the day.
Isolated, great forest views.
The location was phenomenal, easy to get to town and parks but so very private. My only complaint was the heater is very finicky and on day one when I asked about it i got a response to my message but it didn't acknowledge the heater issue. We eventually got it to kick on but we were pretty cold our first 2 nights. I'd 100% stay here again if i return to the area.
Very clean! It was such a peaceful place to relax and rest our heads. We loved waking up and drinking tea on the deck. Would highly recommend!
Very clean cabin and property with basic necessities. Would definitely stay again! Close to grocery stores, laundromat, and of course, redwoods!
There is nothing to not love about this place. First of all it was super clean! Who ever left the review about the musky smell was tripping. Heat worked well, hot water in the shower never ran out. The back porch was a dream to have brake fast on and drink your morning coffee while overlooking the forest. There was not a soul in sight and I think a car passed the house twice while we were there for a week. Beyond peaceful, besides the 2 slugs we saw there was not a sound. The only negative would be the mattress on the main bed could be swapped out for a new one, it’s like sleeping in a nest, there’s a dip in the middle. All in all loooved my stay here and if u want peace and tranquility this is the spot. Oh and we are from florida and have att and we had 2 bars the whole time at the house ??
Property is close to town, but the cabin is in a very quiet, wooded area.
This cabin was very comfortable for my family of three. We used the grill to grill dinner both nights. Did not have cell service (T-Mobile) but we talked, played games and rested after hiking all day. My daughter also fell in love with the neighbors sheep dog. Loved the cabin and was a great place to recharge.
This little cabin is just as advertised. Quiet location surrounded by beautiful redwoods. Perfect for couples or small families.
Great little place to start our adventure in the California Redwoods. Very clean, comfortable, and perfect size for our group of three. Private, semi-secluded location but close to town. We had no issues with cell coverage; good reception for both Verizon and ATT. Highly recommend this little gem!
Adorable little cabin, perfect for 2-3 people. We enjoyed how private it was, and the beautiful scenery. Only thing we were missing was a fireplace/firepit and a microwave. Otherwise, wonderful!!
This cabin was 100% perfect. It’s located in the middle of the woods- we wanted seclusion from other people and houses. Redwoods and big trees surrounding the property. The cabin itself was clean, nicely decorated, and the layout is so quaint. We loved our stay here.
Clean, quiet, “great room” authentic cabin. The forest canopy is heavy letting only muted light through but the 360 windows allow for a pleasing view! The bed is super comfy. The kitchen is adequate and the hot water is on demand. This is a great place to relax, nap, snooze and enjoy a home cooked meal. I didn’t use the grill on the sweet back porch but will definitely grill my veggies on it next time I stay!
just perfect
This was the perfect stop for our tour through the Redwood Forests. It was very clean and cozy. We didn’t have any cell service (which was mentioned in the listing) but a couple miles towards town, it did come back on. We enjoyed dinner on the porch and the views from the wall of windows. Close proximity to the Redwood forests, Trinidad and a few awesome beach spots. We would stay here again.
This cabin was amazing, the views, the location, everything about this stay exceeded our expectations! We got to see deer, woke up to fog, listened to the birds sing early in the morning! The place was clean and just what we needed to escape the city. We had no issues with cell or GPS (car) service (Verizon).
When we saw how quaint and secluded this little cabin was, nestled in a grove of redwoods, we knew that sometimes anticipation can make things seem better than they actually are, and we were prepared to be a little disappointed. It seemed too good to be true! But boy were we impressed. The pictures didn’t do justice to the quiet, beautiful and peaceful surroundings we enjoyed. Sitting on the porch, we heard songbirds and the distant roar of the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We didn’t even miss the internet. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a place to decompress and commune with nature to stay here.
