Ruiz Gijón Elegant and modern in the most authentic Seville:
Located on a historic street in the city within the old town that is part of the 'Cardo Máximo', a road from the Roman Empire that crossed the city from north to south. From its location, the entire historic center of the city is walkable. The old walls, the Macarena Basilica, the baroque jewel of San Luis de los Franceses, Santa Marina, San Marcos, the market on Calle Feria or Alameda, are adjoining elements of the house. The Cathedral and the Giralda can be reached in a beautiful 15-minute walk.
The area has all the services: health center, pharmacy, ATM, food market, bread maker, hardware store, old grocery stores, bars and restaurants.
The house is located in a quiet building with 8 houses. Ours is located on the ground floor. The building is characterized by tranquility and independence despite its central location.
It has a spacious living room, with a three-seater sofa, TV and a window overlooking the street, a dining room for 4 people, an independent and fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a wheelchair-accessible shower and a bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and dressing room. The kitchen and the room overlook a community patio but for exclusive use, useful for leaving bicycles. From the roof, where clothes can be hung, the views are spectacular. In an area of the living room there is a trundle bed with 2 single beds. It is not separated from the living room as a separate bedroom. The bathroom is accessible for both rooms.
Most of the appliances and household items in the house are new or brand new.

Super clean. Very comfortable bed. Sweet welcome note & biscuits. I personally found the strong chemical incense & diffusers too overpowering. I was able to turn some off & move the rest under the sink for the duration of my stay, which helped a little. Despite strict instructions of ‘no noise after 11pm’, the rest of the building was pretty noisy between 11pm & 3am most nights. Communication with various property managers was friendly & efficient for the most part, even after hours. The door isn’t the easiest to open & close but I managed. On my 3rd night however I was unable to enter the apartment. I believe due to the 43C heat causing the wood to swell. I sent multiple videos to one of the property managers of myself & someone else trying to get in. She agreed we’d tried everything & that there was nothing she could do until morning. Thankfully I had a friend in the city I was able to go stay with. If I hadn’t, it doesn’t feel good that I’d have been left to find somewhere else to stay as a solo female traveller in a foreign city after dark & by that point with zero phone battery. It felt reasonable to ask for a refund for the night I was unable to enter & stay in the apartment I’d paid for or access my belongings. This was denied, on the basis that the door was opening again in the morning. It was a perfectly nice apartment, but due to the above, it made it difficult to fully relax there. I’d definitely return to Seville in a cooler season, but I’d stay elsewhere.
This apartment is in a lovely historic location, within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery stores and so many beautiful sites to visit. We were greeted on our arrival and had our many questions answered about the city.
