Romance, peace and idyll in the city

It’s a great place to spend several days in town. The apartment is located 3 minutes away from several tram lines, easy to find, in a safe and quiet neighborhood and easy to find. The apartment is on the second floor (European) or third floor (US). There is no elevator. The apartment was clean and functional.

Excellent location, clean, quiet, and perfect for our stay in Freiburg.

Initial VRBO communication was difficult. VRBO did not send us access info in a timely manner. A relative living in Freiburg had to call the owner for the lockbox code, which we then obtained just when we arrived at the Freiburg train station. While the apartment was clean and accommodating, we were unable to gain internet access or operate the TV as there were no instructions. We again had to contact the owner for assistance. Similarly, we were not able to operate the kitchen range without the owner's assistance (no instructions available locally). While we did not travel by car during our stay, we did have access to a car which we sometimes parked in front of the apartment building. All signs indicated that parking is allowed. However, there is no sign that directs one to purchase a parking pass at a vending machine that is located on the other side and at the opposite end of the street if one doesn't display a Resident Parking Permit in the car. No instructions in the apartment that would alert the guest to this requirement and the danger of being issued a ticket if a parking permit wasn't displayed on the dashboard. When we parked our relative's car the afternoon of the day prior to our early morning departure, we promptly were issued a 20 Euro ticket (very annoying). Finally, due to conflicting instructions where to leave the key, the cleaning lady could not enter the apartment and the owner had to call a locksmith to regain access to the apartment.

We loved the apartment with all its homely touches. Everything was provided, the bedding was good, it was in a quiet area so great for sleeping. It's a bit of a walk to the town centre (unless you're younger and fitter than us) but the trams are very frequent and it's really only a few stops. Freiburg itself is lovely - a little jewel of a town, and we enjoyed just wandering around looking at the sights. The big waterfall out of town is a bit of a hairy drive but worth it! The owner was very quick and friendly in her contact with us. We would love to come back!

Beautiful place

But I have to agree with a previous comment about access to the flat on arrival. I do not have a phone or the Internet when travelling and this was what was required for final access information to the house. Very awkward in my situation. Also washing machine and dryer are not in the flat. It might be helpful to leave detailed instructions in the flat on where they are. Otherwise a bright and sunny flat with public transport close by

Place was nice. Everything worked. We had trouble getting into the place, finding key and room, not good communication and instructions. Would have been nice to have a coffee maker as well. Location was very good, easy walk into town, shopping restaurants and more.

The apartment is very nicely located, close to the city center though very quiet, and next to a very beautiful park called Eschholzpark. Perfect for families. The flat however is not so much child-friendly. Too many things broken or unsafe (for example, a cupboard tilting (!!) and others). Host was nice but not always reachable and replies always took time, before and during the stay, no e-mail was provided even at reservation.

Cozy and very quite apartment close to Friburgo center, 20 minutes by walk. Many fornitures like confortable bed, equipped kitchen, washing and dry machine, free wifi, free parking in front of the flat, big green area with plays for kids (our son enyojed himself very much!). Tanja is very nice and polite, we like Friburgo and we suggest to go there!

Everything about our stay was lovely! The area is great, a lovely 15/20 min walk into town, easy parking and close to motorway. All communication was excellent - and Tanya had some brilliant suggestions as to where to go. Apartment was perfect for what we needed, large bathroom, kitchen etc - thank you!!
