The Casselman River Loft was very well decorated, had a great view of the river and was centrally located to the town. The layout of the loft was very well suited for two couples or a family with children. The beds and sofas were extremely comfortable. We were visiting for a wedding and saw some of the other accommodations and ours was far superior. If visiting Confluence, I would highly recommend the Casselman River Loft.

The property was very nicely equipped for all of our needs. It was clean and comfortable. I have to say their mattresses are the best I’ve come across when traveling. Kara is great to work with and very prompt when responding to questions. We love the fact that they accommodate pets at their properties. This was not our first stay at the Casselman Loft and we look forward to trying out more of the Yough properties in the future.

Lovely, tastefully decorated home with an amazing river view and a fully equipped kitchen where we made several meals. Direct access to GAP trail, for biking to Ohiopyle and Pinkerton bridges. Beautiful hikes nearby with waterfall Bald Eagle sighting and spring wild flowers. People with mobility problems may struggle with stairs.

Clean and beautiful riverside loft. Views were awesome, location was central to a variety of different destinations: ski resorts (Seven Springs and Wisp) and Ohiopyle hiking trails. Beds were comfortable - memory foam mattresses. Plenty of amenities (linens, towels, soap, ice melt for front stoop, etc.). Our only complaint was that we could not get consistent hot water when showering or washing in the sink. I gave location four stars because we had to travel outside of town for anything we needed (like coffee). The local coffee shop was closed for the season as were local restaurants. I gave property manager communication four stars because there was no communication with the property manager. We did not have any issues that we felt warranted contacting the owner, but the owner also did not proactively contact us to confirm we were able to get checked in and had everything we needed. Overall, great stay. The Wi-Fi was excellent, which was important to my kids. We hope to make a return visit in the summer to enjoy the area and outdoor activities.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, well-appointed loft! It was the perfect getaway to celebrate Thanksgiving, play board games, and finish a jigsaw puzzle while eating leftovers and drinking hot cocoa. We really enjoyed the king size bed and comfy mattress as well. Overall a 10/10 stay!

This is our third stay at the loft and we can’t say enough good things about the place and Kara from the Yough Treehouse. The location is perfect for everything. As far as the loft, it’s the perfect place for us. It’s clean, spacious, and has everything you need to make for a great weekend. We would definitely recommend it and can’t wait to stay again.

Newly renovated and modern loft in the heart of Confluence . Location is Close to Ohiopyle , Fallingwater , Kentucky Knob, Farmington, Maryland and WV. Kitchen well appointed. Having a washer dryer was a nice bonus. There a lot of stairs, we needed the cardio ;) Ate at Mitches fuel and food our 1st had nice pizzas ,salad and burgers. Try to get reservations at the Rivers Edge Cafe, food & service are excellent. Highly recommend staying at Casselman River Loft. Host was responsive to our questions.

As visitors to the 2024 Confluence Pumpkin Fest, we were seeking an upgraded rental for the weekend that was within walking distance to the Pumpkin Fest and within a short driving distance to other Laurel Highlands activities. The Casselman River Loft exceeded ALL expectations!!! Prior to renting, I left Kara a voice mail message that was returned within minutes. The online booking was easy and confirmation emails were sent and easy to understand. The loft is exactly as pictured online...the loft views of the river were amazing! Most appreciative to have this loft available and hope to rent again!

We've never stayed in a more unique and accommodating place while riding the GAP trail. The Casselman River Loft is also a perfect spot to use as a base of operations if you want to visit the various Frank Lloyd Wright homes, covered bridges, or nature-related sites in the area. Although it was just two of us, it would also be good for a family or multiple couples to share as it has everything you need to stay in or venture out. The town of Confluence is just big enough without being too big and has about anything you might require.

This property is amazing! The best VRBO I have stayed at. The loft is spacious, very clean, and the location and view of the river makes it the perfect place. It is furnished head to toe with everything you could need while traveling. The modern decor and coziness of the place tops it off to make for a wonderful stay.

Our staycation in Confluence at the Casselman River loft was exceptional. Kara has done a fantastic job with the restoration of the old Confluence High School into a modern and comfortable 2nd story loft apartment. The living and dining area is expansive with a wall of windows to overlook the Casselman river and surrounding hillsides. The kitchen is very well appointed and set up for success for cooking any meal. The beds were clean and comfortable as was the entire suite. The initial reaction upon entry was just how tidy and organized the unit was. Excellent place to stay that is not too far from Pittsburgh for a weekend getaway. Some local highlights included riding the GAP trail to Rockwood and the Trail Head Brewery, Dinners at the Rivers edge Cafe, Kayaking with Andy and friends at Riversport, lunch and cold beverages at the Lucky Dog, and a round of golf at The Club at Middle Creek. There are also some great new places in town like, the Shine Shack, Tissue Farm, and The Park Square Market. We are looking forward to a return visit later this summer.

This is our 3rd year and 4th time renting Casselman River Loft. We biked to Ohiopyle one day and drove to Deep Creek the second day to walk around the lake and hike in the Swallow Falls State Park. Accommodations were spotless, everything thought-out to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you!

We stayed at the Loft and would rate it five stars. The loft if perfectly located in confluence and we couldn’t ask for more. We rode the trial to Ohiopyle and had a great day sitting by the river. The whole process was super smooth and Kara was so helpful. We will recommend the loft to others and would stay again if visiting Confluence.
