Stayed Feb 1, 2024We rented the condo for the two month minimum of Feb-Mar. After we had booked we learned there is was criminal background check required with an additional fee. This also required our social security numbers. The condo is a second floor unit in an over 55 community. We were offered an exterior parking spot as the one car garage is in a tight spot and has a manual door. The condo is in a good location, nice neighbors, quiet and adjacent to Jaycee Park, the river and is a short ride to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping centers. With the futon extended as a bed there isn’t enough room to use the work desk and chair. The master bath shower stall could do with a hand grab and enclosure update. Things went well until the HVAC system malfunctioned on day 6. The fan ran continuously with no heat or air conditioning. Early on we had nighttime temps in the low 60’s and as time passed daytime temps rose to a high of 90. After 15 days and multiple repair attempts, the entire system, estimated to be over 20 years old, was replaced. By the time all this was over we’d had enough and decided to leave early. The owner saw no reason to provide compensation for the 15 days of disruption, stating “we’d been nothing but trouble”. The only bright spot in this fiasco was the Property Manager, Christine. She did everything she could to resolve the HVAC and several other issues.

Stayed Feb 1, 2019The unit is very clean bright and in a great location. Only problems were the place was advertised as having a king size bed when it was only a queen, advertised having access to the pool but no access key was provided and no key was provided for the mailbox so I could not have our mail forwarded.
