Every thing was perfect the apartment was very nice and clean
The location was awesome, steps from the beach. The hotel was vey dated though and the room had not been updated in a long while. Wall paint peeling and kitchen cabinets paint peeling off. It definitely needs a couple coats of paint. Looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80s. The rooms were decent size and restrooms were ok. Could have been cleaned a little more. The beach chairs and ice chest were a nice touch so we didn’t have to buy any. The pool was huge and never too crowded. On-site restaurant was good. Paying $75 for valet but having to park your own car. Parking garage lights were out and it was a bit scarey at night.
Bad customer service:(
This was perfect for two work colleagues as we each had our own room and bath. The views can't be beat! Highly recommend!
This was a late minute vacation scheduled for my mom, my sister, and me. My mom is disabled and in a wheelchair. The room is not listed as “handicap accessible.” However, the room was wonderful and met her needs. There were no bars in the shower, as I was told beforehand. The shower in the master was walk-in. The layout was big enough to allow mom to use her scooter and/or the walker, with the exception of into the bathrooms, as the doorways were large enough. The environment was safe and clean enough. We did have to wash towels / was clothes three times during the week, because there were so few. It would be wise to bring extra unless you don’t mind washing often. The contact person was wonderful to work with and accommodated our individual needs. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to stay here again!
Amazing views , very nice condo , bright and clean . Highly recommend it .
Very rough and didn’t even listen to our conversation. Then finally after 10 minutes of explaining stufts and ages of kids and everything they agreed to check in but they were so rude to talk. Carla and Linda at the front desk was very rude and don’t know how to talk to people soft and gentle.
Property was clean enough. Had all necessities. Sugestion would be some updating, adding some items to make property a litte more cozy and inviting. Property manager was very quick to answer any questions I had. Felt very safe, pool was very nice.
Easy access to pool and beach.
We checked out early this morning after a great week. We are a group of 8 (4 adults, 3 kids 12, 9 and 2 and a 17 y/o). Two separate bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Big living area and great ocean view. I read the reviews and asked Maria a lot of questions. The condo was perfect for us and I’d like to address some of the negative comments. The kitchen cabinets are NOT held together with duct tape. The balcony door works perfect. Showers were fine. Someone said only hot or cold water. We never experienced that. There are some areas with paint that is chipping (master bath) and maybe some small areas of mold in a closet but it’s Florida, humid and we didn’t spend a lot of time in the condo. This condo unit was perfect for what we needed. One family drove so we had a car. I’m not sure the week would have been as great without a car because the area of the Broadwalk we like was not within walking distance. There is the Circuit transportation option but it doesn’t fit 8. There are only a few restaurants within walking distance from the condo. We were fine but others need to plan for this. Everyone at the condo was nice enough but the restrictions at the pool were unknown to us. You cannot play music at the pool. If you do, the pool attendant (not lifeguard) will come tell you to turn it down. You cannot have a drink at the edge of the pool. And I don’t mean just alcohol. You cannot even have water. You can at your chair but not at the pool ledge. There are “snow birds” that stay for 3+ months and they do not like “visitors”. Three college ladies had music playing (not loud) and one of the men from the “snow bird” group was so belligerent and stated yelling at them to read the sign. He started yelling “Are you blind? Or are you just stupid?” I didn’t see the sign about music either as it’s thrown in with a statement that said “No Pets Allowed”. We had a nice vacation. The condo was exactly what we expected. But the aggressive pool attendants and the belligerent long term renter -we could have done without both. Just manage expectations!
All in all was a great stay...location us nice with private access to beach...so always a spot on the beach. Nit a college spring break hot spot so great location to bring family. A 5 to ten minute Uber ride to the Broadwalk. Very safe and clean.
I’ve been to VRBOS country wide, and never left a negative review. Pros: Like cation and view from the balcony and master bedroom. Host was responsive until the last day when I got no call back Cons: Parking is $75 per week, and when you check in at the building next door, you are required to buy at least one fob (small plastic disc) at $30 a pop When you finally enter the condo, you immediately notice the lack of any amenities. We didn’t have enough paper products for the week. Bring your own tissues. Owner doesn’t provide them. The condo needs a lot of work. Paint, drywall peeling, not enough towels for 6 people. Everything is very dated , with the added bonus of electrical sockets that don’t work. Kitchen is awful with the bare minimum in appliances, no ice maker, and ancient lighting and ancient cabinets. There was mold in the master closet and bathroom. This could be a great condo with some TLC, but clearly the owner is not willing or able to do any improvements.
Overall we had a nice stay. The condo itself needs updated. Marks and scuffs all over the walls, cabinet held together with duct tape, faucet in bathroom completely comes off, sliding glass door impossible to open,...these are just a few of the things that need fixed. The staff at The Tides is beyond rude. They clearly hate the fact that their tenants rent out their condos and nickel and dime those who rent as a result. There were 6 people in my party so i was REQUIRED to spend $90 for the key fobs to get in and out of the condo, pool, and access to the beach. You would think this would be a deposit..and that I would simply return the fobs to get my money back. Oh no. You have to purchase the fobs!! In addition, you have to pay $75 to park...and $20 for a parking pass. If you order anything to be shipped while you're there..they will charge you $5 to receive it. It's a joke. On top of that...the receiving staff is a miserable group of people who clearly hate their jobs. Not sure I would return here.. would definitely not recommend it to anyone.
Beds are comfortable, beautiful views of the grounds, beach and loved the pool area. Condo is great for the price. Maria the owner is very nice and we had many conversations over text. She helped with a lot of questions that I had. I will stay here again
