Stayed Oct 5, 2017I have used Homeaway for many many travels over the past 8 to 10 years. This was the first time that I encountered hidden fees in the trip which I was not informed about prior to the rental agreement and payment. Fees for electricity use which were not addressed prior to arrival and were totally unexpected. They could have increased the price of the rental slightly to cover this cost and I would have never noticed. Limitations on internet use were not explained prior to arrival and I was cut off from family and business for the last two days. I recommend that Homeaway advises their associates that they should forewarn their renters of the unexpected. I surely would have given consideration to other locations for sure. Relaxation of a vacation is more important then restrictions on a vacation. Otherwise, the rental unit was good due to location and travel tips from the q owners.
