We loved staying at this property. I booked a year in advance (not normal) because going to NYC was on my bucket list. I didn't really know what to expect staying in NJ and mostly visiting NYC but it was the PERFECT place to stay! Every day we took the 126 bus from Hoboken to the bus terminal in the heart of NYC. Almost everything we did was within walking distance of the terminal. Just download the NJ Transit App and buy your 2 zone tickets there. Be sure to buy the 10 Trip Discount pass if you're staying more than 5 days. About the place: Easy walking distance to MANY cool shops and restaurants on Washington St. It's 1 block away and so much to do! Bed was VERY comfortable with a nice pillow topper. I slept well every night. Bathroom was well appointed. I loved the hairdryer so much I took pics so I could get one. Kitchen: I cooked meals every day. Everything works and they have utensils, pots/pans, and some spices. Trader Joes is a quick 10 minute walk and we shopped there for all of our meals. There is also a small convenience store on the corner where we bought eggs under $5. Silly request: the only thing missing for me was a chip clip! Ha. Living room has a comfortable sofa & TV if you're in the apartment long enough to watch any. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again. Put a white noise app on your phone if city noise bothers you. We did and it worked great. Thanks so much Lauren & Michael! It was a wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving.
Such a good neighbourhood. Beautiful houses and Hoboken is a good place to relax from after a busy day at New York. The owners of the apartment are very nice and living upstairs. It felt like we were locals living here. Maybe one tip for Micheal, it would be nice to have some drinking glasses and mugs in the kitchen. But that's all we can think of.. Would recommend this place! Karin and Robert from the Netherlands Fryslân.
Great place to stay. Clean, close to everything, and clear communications with Michael. This place was great and everything that was advertised. We will certainly be back.
Had a great stay at this apartment. Nicely decorated, clean with a comfortable bed. Walking distance to bus station, 15 minute ride to New York City. 10 minute walk to Hudson River with amazing views of New York City.
This apartment is very spacious and has a lovely yard. It had everything we needed and in a great location. The hosts were delightful and we would happily stay again.
Great location and the apartment was very clean and perfect for my stay. The hosts were available when I had questions. I would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely stay in Michael’s apartment. It had everything we needed for the four nights we were there. The location was perfect for visiting with our son and the apartment is close to so many things. We found several wonderful coffee shops, Trader Joe’s, and excellent restaurants. The bus line is close for trips to Manhattan. We felt quite safe walking home after midnight from our son’s apartment. Our only concern was the dog barking in the apartment above one day when the owners left. He quieted down after a bit so we didn’t feel the need to say anything. We would highly recommend this apartment for your next Hoboken experience!
The property was better than we expected - the photos don’t do it justice. Lots of space, quiet clean environment to live in. Easy to commute to Manhattan and a fantastic waterfront view just down the road! Would definitely recommend!
We liked it so much we came back! Very comfortable, great location and the hosts were so easy to deal with. When in Hoboken you can’t go wrong to stay here. We will be back!
I ABSOLUTELY loved this place! It was so beautifully decorated & had every essential needed for my needs. The location is excellent for traveling into NYC, 2 blocks to the bus stop. Thanks Michael ?
Very enjoyable! Came to Hoboken to visit family. Apt was perfect! Michael and Lauren were very attentive and accommodating. Will come back again.
Dollhouse apartment in basement, 1st night there was an issue with the fire alarm and it went off all night luckily there wasn't any fire just a wire issue, I was told I would have a refund for that night for the inconvenience but have not received it yet, overall the stay was good
First off, if you’re staying for the location, Hoboken is a perfect balance between big city life and chill waterfront vibes. Bloomfield is a great area. Amazing spot close to the big city, 15 minutes on the bus to get into Times Square. When you come back, you’re greeted by a calm chill vibe in Hoboken, walking/biking the waterfront with amazing views is only 6 minutes away. I personally think a bike is a must here. Location of this place is incredible. That’s what you pay for! This place itself is ok. it should most definitely be noted that it’s actually a basement suite in a Victorian style home and the owners occupy the home upstairs. I didn’t know that and when I showed up, I went to the front door and saw a dog running around … at first I thought I was at the wrong address, but the entrance is downstairs in the basement. Unfortunately, you can hear essentially everything they’re doing upstairs. So when you’re in the place, you are definitely hearing chairs sliding, tables moving, cutting boards etc. If you’re a light sleeper, you will wake up when they do as their kitchen must be directly above your bed. They have a dog and when he barks, it’s like he’s right in your place. The bed is absolutely terrible! Rock solid with no give at all. I mentioned this when they asked me if I have any concerns, i said my only complaint is I have to take the couch cushions off and put them on the bed so I can sleep, “but the city is very cool” … they replied and said I’m glad you’re enjoying your stay. Didn’t seem too concerned about my only concern. All in all, I would recommend this place for someone who is ok with living in a basement suite and hearing everything going on upstairs, and having a rough nights sleep, the location is what makes it. 3 stars for the place. 5 for the location.
Thoroughly enjoyed my entire stay. The apartment was immaculate and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Close to local shops cafes and restaurants. A short walk to the PATH train to easily get into NYC. Would most definitely recommend and will be my go to place to stay next time I visit
