Spokane, Washington
This studio apartment is tucked away in the Riverside State Park where the access trails are right out our backyard. If you enjoy the outdoors and love hiking, biking, horseback riding then you will love this place. It is quiet and peaceful and the apartment is detached from main house for privacy. You have your own fenced private yard and veranda overlooking the woods to enjoy your coffee in the morning. The suite has a full kitchen to cook a delicious meal with full size fridge. Snuggle up by the fireplace and enjoy a good book or movie.
The apartment has a full bathroom with shower and a twin size bed and queen size pull out sleeper sofa. This is the perfect place if you enjoy peace and quiet and love to be surrounded by nature. The trails are literally right out our backyard where you can explore the state park, walk to the Spokane River and see the Bowl and Pitcher plus bike on the centennial trail. .
The apartment overlooks our 10 acres onto an acre of beautifully kept lawns and garden.
This was the perfect place to get away and relax. It was beautiful quiet and comfortable Suzie the host was so pleasant and accommodating and Georgia their sweet dog was a perfect welcoming cohost. I really hope to go back soon.
everything was good as advertised. I prefer a firmer bed, this one was too soft for me. Also, would appreciate (darkening) window coverings - especially at the kitchen window. We have 14 + hours of daylight right now already
We came to Spokane to see Wicked and check out the area real estate. This was the perfect little spot to sleep. We love nature and this little spot is located right in the edge of a state park perfect for walks in the woods to clear the mind. We would love to return and do more hiking. The apartment is cozy with a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. The bed is a couch pullout and I thought it was comfy but I like a soft bed. This is about 20 to 25 min from downtown Spokane which we didn’t mind but does mean you have to time it properly if your plans are in the core. There is no internet so plan to use your phone as a hotspot. Recommended.
Our teenaged son slept wondefully in twin bed. My hubbie and I slept on sofa sleeper bed which was super comfy thanks to extra added mattress topper. We took topper off and set it on barstools during day. We wanted couch space so the 3 of us could sit and watch a movie. There was a nice selection of DVDs, and we enjoyed two of the movies during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and a nice big fridge. Such a cozy spot with park like views out every window and super close to state park.
We loved our three nights in this charming cottage-like studio in the country. Everything about it said welcome and sweet dreams. Indeed, we experienced all of that and more. Beautifully and tastefully appointed in every way. A perfect place for friends and/or family.
We both truly enjoyed the location. We were 12 miles from downtown Spokane, however, we felt like we were in the country. I loved being next to the State Park and the ability to take long quiet walks. My only comment is the couch bed and single bed are not very comfortable, especially for two adults. Susan shared that she planned to replace the couch bed. We appreciated the dark roast coffee every morning. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to stay with you again in 2022.
This was our first time ever using anything like VRBO. The owner of the property was so incredibly wonderful. The place was so cute and charming! This was a great experience and we will do it again!
We had a wonderful time. We wish we would have had a little more time to enjoy the beautiful property but there’s not enough hours in the day?
Enjoyed BBQing on lawn watching birds. Close to lakes, rivers, hiking.. A/C was a must during the hot spell. Larger bed would have been nice. Sofa bed not great for two people.
This is a beautiful, peaceful and spacious private loft studio apartment; an easily 10 stars of excellence out of a possible 5! It is a totally renovated and bright space above an old-fashioned garage--it is plenty big for 2 or 3 people, and everything is of high quality and taste. Susan's gardens are over-the-top gorgeous; they are clearly the product of her love and attention. Riverside State Park bike trails really are right out of her backyard; they connect to the Centennial Trail which leads you to all sorts of outdoor and historical places. There's so much to do in the Spokane area; a highlight was riding bikes to the redesigned and dynamic downtown area separated by waterfalls and the Spokane River. A day trip to Coeur de'Alene was easy and just more fun. If you ride a bike, spend some time on part of the Centennial Trail--it extends from west of Spokane to Coeur de'Alene for about 50 miles. Wildflowers abound!
