Petra Elegant, apartment in piazza del Carmine in Florence by Mmega

Great location. Lovely apartment.

The first thing you should know is that they charge tax per person after you book the place, which is not mentioned in the listing and only appears once the booking is completed, and they charge you in cash once you check in.The house had no essentials—not even extra toilet paper. The coffee maker didn’t work properly, and there was nothing elegant or comfortable about the place at all. The bed sheets didn’t fit the mattresses correctly, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and they only provided one towel per person. Additionally, the owner controls the heating remotely. Overall, it felt too cheap to be considered anything close to a elegant stay.

We had a good stay! It was a really nice place that had lots of space, just what we needed. It was in a great location and easily walkable to all the sites, restaurants, etc.

This apartment was beautiful and in a great location. Easy to get around, but away from the crowds. The communication was excellent from booking all the way through checkout. Checking in was very simple. I would highly recommend this apartment if visiting Florence.

This was perfect for our needs for our group of seven. The apartment is huge and nicely appointed.

I stayed for 12 nights with 2 other adults and 3 children.The place is comfortable, roomy and everything works. The location is wonderful. It is in a less crowded area than many but close enough to walk everywhere. There are restaurants and a grocery store steps away. The furnishings are not luxurious, but comfortable, clean and there is room for everyone. One bed (single room) had a mattress that was super hard and not so comfy. That would be my only complaint and some may like it.The air conditioning worked very well.We loved it!

Great property. Location was good to see everything in Florence. Easily walkable. A/c worked well and there’s a grocery right around the corner.

Quiet, but convenient location - 15-20m walk to everywhere, including train station. Very large apt with plenty of space for 7 of us. Additional lighting in entryway off street would be helpful when entering apt in evening. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great apartment with plenty of space for a group. It's on the opposite side of the river from the major attractions in Florence but this should not keep you from staying here. Florence is a very walkable city; staying here gives you the chance to walk off the wonderful food you'll discover (most attractions are less than a 30 minute walk from the apartment). There are plenty of dining options in the area and I'd highly recommend Il Vespro, which is right down the street. We didn't realize it until the day we left, but there is a small grocery story literally around the corner from the apartment. Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens are a short walk away as well.Communication with the host and check-in were incredibly easy and there's a luggage storage facility nearby should you require it.

Beautiful apartment. Location perfect! Spacious for 6 people

There were 7 adults and the apartment provided space so that at the end of a long day of walking we could all find a spot to relax and reflect. The description of the apartment is 100% accurate and checking in was a breeze. We had a grocery store just around the corner and restaurants within 2 blocks.

We had such a great stay here. The location is great and the size of the apartment is even bigger than we expected. Lots of room for everyone to sit in our bigger sized group. We really enjoyed our stay.

No problems to report. Host was good. Clean, lots of room, great neighborhood. Not the highest end furniture or beds if that is a concern, but no complaints. In general everything worked and we were very happy with the place

I agree with the other reviews. This is a great apartment in a great location with everything you could want within walking distance. We had a minor issue with the check-in process but I still definitely recommend this apartment. Also, for anyone planning to stay in September, be aware of the Florence Jazz Festival. It was located right across the street in the Piazza del Carmine the weekend we were there!

The place is beautiful and very walkable to many restaurants and sights. It can get a little noisy at times, but that is just being in the city center. The air conditioning in the main bedroom didn’t work, but it was cool enough for the most part that it didn’t affect our stay. All in all it was a wonderful place with plenty of room for our group of seven. It had everything you would need for an extended stay! If I was ever back in the area, I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Petra Elegant. The location was perfect close to restaurants, shopping, the Ponte Vecchio and many of the beautiful sites Florence has to offer. The apartment was well taken care of clean and very comfortable for the six of us.

Wonderful, spacious property, full of character, giving us plenty of room for our party of 7. The location is fantastic, in a vibrant but not overly busy local neighbourhood with plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. It is also a short walk over a bridge to the busy centre of Florence, so therefore it’s also a comfortable place to get back to quickly when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed this property! There was great communication leading up to check-in and the apartment was as described. Everything we needed was walkable and we had a great stay in Florence.
