Bloomington, Indiana
Unwind at this peaceful retreat on a ridge by a state forest. Ridgetop Retreat is located on a private gravel lane and offers beautiful views of forest, birds, and wildlife while only minutes from town and Lake Monroe, and less than a 1/2 hour from Nashville (IN).
The Space
The charming, private-entrance suite provides sleeping up to 4 with queen, twin, and day bed. Suite includes bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and family room. Free, ample parking for up to 3 vehicles. Sorry, no boat trailers.
The space is in a secluded natural setting off a gravel road. Trees and wildlife are plenty. The suite is in our lower level and is accessed by a stone walkway leading to a private entrance.
Guest access
Guests have access to the suite, the area outside their private entrance, the fire pit (but please shoot me a quick text first for a fire), and the front porch.
Other things to note
Ridgetop Retreat is located outside of town where public transportation is not available.
Our gravel road is not plowed in winter and so vehicles with 4-wheel drive may be needed to access our property in the event of snow.
The private entrance to the suite is accessed via a descending stone walkway that, as the photos show, doesn't have a railing. People with mobility issues may find this walkway challenging.
Very quiet, clean and cozy. Cobie was very accommodating. We had everything we needed! Highly recommend!
We were very satisfied with our stay. It was comfortable, clean, we felt safe, and communication with owner was great. No complaints!
It was very close to Lake Monroe where we were renting a pontoon boat over the weekend. A side benefit was the secluded, peaceful nature of the house.
The apartment is clean and luxurious. I especially appreciated the instructions and labels (not too much or overwhelming) throughout the space, and I enjoyed the many supplies provided. The bedding and towels are quality/high-end materials. The location is cozy and secluded. Thanks so much.
Excellent I would highly recommend them
Great place to relax and enjoy some time together. Close enough to enjoy Bloomington but distant enough to enjoy nature.
This was a great place for my husband and I to stay for the weekend. It’s a convenient location if you’re looking to be near Bloomington restaurants as well as exploring the Hoosier National Forest. Cobie is great about communicating and has thought of most anything you would need while staying there. Her bathroom linens are luxurious and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing I missed from home was a tall mirror. It feels very private, with only an occasional noise from upstairs.
