Easy and efficient, they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and everything was in order. A friend lives just a few houses nearby and it was perfect
Wonderful place to house overflow guests for a local neighbor.
I have never complained about any place I have ever stayed but we didn't have a great visit at all. First of all... it took us 15 minutes to get the key out of the lock box. Very frustrating. When we finally got into the apartment the overwhelming musty smell was very hard to tolerate. We then decided to open the windows to allow fresh air. My daughter then discovered there was not a screen on the very low second story window ( very scary for parents with small children) . Then my other daughter got her hand cut on the kitchen counter corner. Not a good start the first 5 minutes we were there. We finally settled in and found out we had absolutely no internet connection. Therefore we had no Netflix live tv prime ect ect. We read the manual and it says to go to the big house and ask the guest there to reset the router. No one answered when we knocked. It says to contact the manager but we were unable to do that with no phone service or Wi-Fi connection. We spent many hours outside. During the evening the lights went crazy and we had to turn them of because of the strobe lighting. I gave my daughters a bath after being outside for hours and the water smelled like rotten eggs.. Like I mentioned earlier I never complain but we truly expected a better stay . We even thought about going home but it is a 4 hour drive away.
Really great place to catch up with friends.
Freshly cleaned, as advertised, very pleasant and convenient
Would love to stay here again. They place was perfect for my brother and I. We had a great day to go kayaking and the neighborhood was beautiful. Could not recommend this place enough!!
Amazing view. Pleasant apartment with standard amenities.
The place was great! Perfect for our Christmas time spent with family nearby. The view was amazing.
I booked based on the basis that internet was available. I work remotely and had to login for work daily. Reviewing the checkin instructions, it stated that internet was shared and the router was across the street. My first inclination was to cancel. But didn’t. There was no internet at this place. We had issues connecting with the router. I went to the main house and got router info, reset the router and did all protocol problem solving. Sunday night I was in a pinch for internet as I was to login at 6am Monday morning. We considered leaving for another rental or hotel. Fortunately I have an old college roommate who was gracious enough to allow me to use his internet in Tacoma 45min away. I had to commute 1:30 every day. Leaving at 5:00am and returning about 4. I would if logged off at 1:30 daily. I didn’t get much time to enjoy the place or my family. My family enjoyed the house and the kayaks. I’ll take their word for it. Internet service was to come Wednesday but that never happened. I did tell the owner that I was checking out late Thursday and she agreed that was acceptable. Overall disappointed for our family. And extremely stressful. If the property lists internet. It should have internet. Not shared router from place 100 yards away.
We were pretty disappointed with the “surf shack”. It’s an apartment hodgepodged together from yard sales above a garage. If you have rented the main house and cottage for an event this place would suffice as a place for overflow and an extra place for people to sleep. The waterfront is nice and you have access, but just understand you are across the road and not on the water. The building itself was is poor condition, to say the least. To get to the water and use the leaking kayaks you need to open the neighbors gates and walk through their yard to get to it.... very awkward. Overall, Its basically a motel 6 quality unit that smells like a damp basement with no view of the water that is WAY overpriced. Oh and the wi-fi is terrible, but not to worry.... if you need the router reset they have you go knock on the neighbors door to reboot it.
