Splendid penthouse in the heart of the historic center of Naples, a stone's throw from Via Toledo and the main places of interest.

The apartment is located on the fifth floor of a building, in the center of the movida of Naples, without elevator and for this reason it is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. The accommodation consists of a very bright living area with a single sofa bed, a coffee table and a minimal bookcase, a reading area with an armchair that can be converted into a single bed and an independent fully-equipped kitchen with an oven and a dishwasher. The sleeping area consists of a bedroom equipped with a queen-size bed and a bathroom with shower.

A large furnished terrace overlooking the city completes the layout.

Free wifi, air conditioning in the bedroom, independent heating and washing machine will be available in the accommodation.

*The apartment is located in a central and lively area; the presence of clubs may cause noise during the evening and night hours.

“When you go to Naples you cry twice: when you arrive and when you leave”, people say. Naples is a unique city, to experience by walking through the alleys, smelling the scent of gastronomic delicacies in the air and admiring its rich artistic and monumental heritage. Naples is at the origin of a peculiar culinary tradition for its famous Neapolitan pizza, and the art of its pizza makers has been declared an intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Walking through Spaccanapoli, the street that cuts the city in half, you will cross its millenary history thanks to the presence of ancient palaces and churches, such as the Cathedral of Naples and the Maschio Angioino. If there is a symbolic place of Naples, this is Piazza del Plebiscito, today a symbol of the new Neapolitan Renaissance where tourists come to admire its grandeur and its two jewels: the neoclassical colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola and the Palazzo Reale. Today it is also possible to visit the underground city, or the so-called womb of Naples, used by the Neapolitans as a refuge during the bombings, where tourists can cross the Greco-Roman aqueduct, the air-raid shelters and finally visit the Museum of the War.

Not to be missed is San Severo Chapel which houses the sculpture of the Veiled Christ, one of the most fascinating and mysterious works that can be seen in Naples, the result of the talent of Giuseppe Sanmartino.

The apartment is 2,5 km from Naples central station, while Naples Capodichino airport is reachable in 30 minutes by car.

The property has a nice terrace overlooking Naples, the location suited us very much. It is indeed loud but that didn't bother us at all. There were many steps to go up but again that wasn't a problem for us. What did bother us though was the poor equipment of the kitchen and the lack of essentials for a 5 night stay. There were only 2 flimsy rolls of toilet paper, one dishwashing tablet, no coffee or sugar or salt or tea towels or anything that makes a kitchen useful to travelers who don't carry kitchen utensils with them. We always book self catering properties because we like to cook as much as eating out and really a bit of salt isnt that much to ask. The cleaninness of the pots and pans was appalling, the bathroom had stains around the basin and shower, some tiles were moldly and the general uncleanness wasn't welcoming at all. Also one of the sun loungers was broken, the walls had some holes with mortar coming loose. We dont go for cheap accomodation during our travels and we have paid a substantial sum for this property too. But we did get what felt like cheap accomodation. We contacted the owners twice and they were slow to reply, giving us contradicting answers. Just shortly before our departure they delivered a completely random supply of things (such as earplugs)... nothing we had asked for. The property has a lot of potential if a few basic things would be considered in the future.
