Palheiro Residence - Vacation rental in Madeira-Funchal

Gerardo was an amazing host. He responded quickly to any questions. The apartment was comfortable, very clean, well equipped and well maintained. A 5 minute walk to a bus stop where you could take a number of buses that would take you downtown. Or if you chose to walk a 20 minute walk to the Farmers Market. From the living room or front bedroom there was a beautiful view of the harbour and comings and goings of the cruise ships.

Gerardo was very friendly and wonderful welcome gift. Thank you! Easy to get around.

Great view of busy harbor, but ìf bringing in a rental auto, beware of narrowly defined parking garage. This is accessed by a narrow, and very steep one way street.

This apartment has it all: spacious, clean, comfortable furniture, well appointed complete kitchen with washer, two balconies, convenient parking space.It is a steep hike up to the apartment from the town, but it's possible to walk down and take Bolt back up.It's worth it for the terrific view of the harbor from the front balcony. Gerardo was an amazing host. He graciously met us on arrival (even though our plane was late) and explained everything. He even left us a beautiful selection of local fruit and pastries. We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was very nice and clean, and at a walking distance from the old city of Funchal (for those who are not afraid of a little slope). Gerardo is a great host, always willing to help, and so welcoming!

This is a very nice and well equipped property. Nice location even though it’s a bit of an uphill walk from the centre of Funchal. Gerardo is an exceptional host and was very helpful and accommodating.

We had a very welcoming arrival. Gerardo gave us a tour through the appartment and arranged some welcoming snacks, a pleasant surprise! Spacious appartment with everything you could need. Short walk to the center and parking available around the corner. We would book again without a doubt!

Me and my family were at Palheiro Residence during Christmas holidays. Gerardo, the owner of our location, was very welcoming with us; even if our flight was in delay (we arrived at residence at 1 a.m.), he welcomed us to show the apartment. Gerardo was always available and very fast to reply to every our request. The apartment was very clean, functional and spacious according to the description. The position was very strategic, not so far to the centre of Funchal (10 minutes downhill by foot and 15 minutes uphill by foot) and not so close and low to prevent an amazing sight on the Atlantic Ocean and on the harbour of Funchal. We can give a very positive and we can advice Palheiro Residence.
