Cute little apartment just south of the Pope’s Palace but in a non-touristy area.. Perfect locale for walking, great little outdoor restaurants on every square, a Saturday market just down the street and a Sunday flea market in front of an old beautiful church with lovely choir music. We didn’t spend much time in the appt but everything was there if we’d needed to - an fully equipped kitchen, laundry and excellent WiFi. Carole speaks wonderful English and welcomes you to her pied de Terre.

Carole is a great host, very helpful, communicative and accommodating.. Apartment had fully functional appliances, machines, very clean orderly, comfortable and is completely stocked for visitors. Charming neighborhood. Among the best VRBOs we have visited globally.

This is an absolutely wonderful apartment in the heart of Avignon. Host Carole has gone above and beyond in her attention to every detail. We loved exploring Avignon and if/when we return we will hope to be able to stay here again. If you are traveling in winter (we stayed here in early January) , please note, this is an old building and can be chilly at night (especially in the front room and kitchen). Carole educated us that the cost to heat is very high so please be conservative and aware when turning the heat up.

The location was excellent during our stay in Avignon! Carole’s property is walking distance to all historical sights and also very close to the local grocery store if you plan to do your own cooking. The apartment itself was equipped with everything needed for an extended stay and also the concrete walls kept things cool during the hot summer days.

We have stayed here at Carole’s small but convenient apartment for 4 nights, but due to circumstances and our enormous luck, Carole let us in very early on the first day and has let us stay late on this our last day( we are leaving about 3pm Carole) The temperatures over the last week in Avignon have been over35C every day, and if we had had to stay out in that heat cooling our brains until we could get in and leave we would have cooked…..so a huge thank you Carole Despite the apartment not having air conditioning we have managed, by keeping all the windows and doors closed from 10am , and opening them in the early morning when one of us got up, this has worked well, plus the use of a tiny fan in lounge We have missed not having a TV , to watch the Olympics , but so much to see in this beautiful small city it hasn’t mattered Apartment is just one step from mainly pedestrian streets and all sights, plus markets, Saturdays was fabulous and next street over, easy walk from station ( which also goes to TGv station ) We have enjoyed our stay here Carole and thanks so much for your hospitality

This property is excellent for either the solo traveller or small family. It is clean, centrally located, yet away from the crowds of tourists in a quiet neighborhood. I would best describe this property as being a home away from home. It is clean, well furnished, and Carole, the host, is very charming and helpful.

This sweet apartment is a wonderful place to stay in Avignon. Carole was extremely accomodating! Avignon is a perfect town to use as a base when visiting Provence as it is just an hour or two away from the best places to see, and the town itself is a treasure.
