When I paid the deposit it took the whole amount. My daughter booked for 2 adults and kids the kids didn’t transfer to vrbo and I’m getting charged extra for them. Nothing stated that I would have to clean everything before I left who washes the towels and bedding? Sanitizes this room? Couldn’t get a response for check in no room number the list goes on. The hotel itself was wonderful the pool beach beautiful staff was great and the food was great
Unless you have lights on all day the room is very dark. Can’t open blinds as windows (that you can’t open)look out unto a mustard yellow hallway that houses the floors trash bins, vending machine and elevator. Constant noise due to these. There is no way to get any fresh air into the room short of propping open the door. If you want to use the ceiling fan at night, good luck, it runs off the same circuit as the kitchen wall light . That lights reflect off the wall mirrors and the mirrored closet doors into the sleeping area. The air conditioner is ok bit it is noisy. If you turn the air conditioner off, there is a constant noise of the central exhaust in the bathroom that is constant. The floor behind the toilet is gross. On the good side, the place is clean and well decorated, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is functional. This is an inside cruise ship cabin at an oceanfront resort.
This condo was beyond our expectations. The property is ocean front but the room is not. Elevator right outside the room so we were at the pool and Ocean is less than a minute. The south side elevator says only 3 people and I highly recommend only 3 people in there. Over all it gets a 5 star. Thanks so much!!!
Location
Thought that the room was Oceanfront. However, once we got there it was not and there was no view of the ocean. The first word in the listing is Oceanfront. Also, the shower is very difficult to use...you either burn or freeze yourself!
Room was clean and very comfortable.
We ended up leaving a day early. A waste of over $100. The bed was horrible. We were so stiff after 3 nights we couldn't take it any longer. There were ants all over the kitchen and bathroom counters. The A/C system looks like it has mold on top. Both of us had puffy eyes and trouble breathing. The room was next to the elevator and we were woke several times a night with people outside the window. The room needs some serious updating before they continue renting it.
About the only positive about this unit is the decor of the room. The resort as a whole is a complete dump. The room and the resort smells horrible. There was garbage floating in the hot tub (which wasn’t even a hot tub but rather a warm bath with a film on top). We got sick with allergy symptoms within a couple of days and then found mold on the tiles behind the futon. And the futon had a giant gross stain on it. And the windows are completely misleading. This place is the equivalent of an inside cabin of a cruise ship. The windows open into a hallway which I might add is right in front of the elevator and vending machine and super noisy. Now if you're a student looking for somewhere to spend spring break this is likely just the place for you
The only cons were the building been outdated(most definitely overdue for a renovation), tub been stopped up and no entry to the side door but absolutely enjoyed our time in Florida. Thank you Linda
This was our first time to the Daytona Shores. The Hawaiian Inn is in a great location. Daytona International Speedway is a short drive. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool area, tiki bar and beach were awesome. We would definitely go back!!! Thanks Linda ?
